most of players think walling everywhere is Lame but for some others, musk rush is also lame, so he could adapt, stop produce musk in the first barrack, try mix some pike, add cav to a later timing instead of pure musk trying to rush in base full of longbowman, tc fire, walls and long walking time for the reinforcement.

They need to change up walls.. cav 0.5 siege and inf 2x siege bonus, stops raiding but still defensive enough for units or something

The problem is that Grens which are they 'anti' tower/walls (towers get penalties on grens on top of the ranged resist grens get) are not available to everyone, require a different building to use and lose to skirmisher type units which go well with walls. Really walls/grens/anti building need a rework as a whole. Like the pillarless thing needs to be implemented as a base feature and cost increased.

Walls could grant exp on destruction perhaps, like a small amount, but it would make it less futile to chew through 5 layers of kynesie turtle walls.

When he put 3 towers on his barracks, blue could have called off the rush and boomed, red wasted his first shipment. Doesn't seem that good a strat, except as a way to annoy your opponent into resigning.

Idk why people think brit mirrors are boring, nothing more satisfying to watch than lines of musketeers shooting each other to bits. Is this sort of walling infuriating? absolutely. Is it a viable use of the games tools? yes. Do I have the micro to pull off things like that? hell no.

Eh it is what it is. There are lamer things you can do. At least if you believe the people I used to play against. A few Grens would have decimated this as towers do get penalties on them but you need to build an entire new building for that. Walls and anti building units (grens, mantlets, flail elephants etc.) need reworks in general. Like Grens being weak to the best unit to pair with walls (skirm type units) is really stupid. The whole pillarless thing is silly and either needs to be embraced as a base feature with increased costs or abolished.

I said this stuff multiple times in other aoe3 yt videos, make walls give a bit more of xp and increase cost of walls a bit more, then it will help a lot with this kinda of stuff, it is very frustrating to play against this and siege walls rewards nothing, so it is a win win, making toxic wall = easy win

I don't really get it? He built a couple of walls that were easily surmounted. Cyan still had the upper hand, and then decided to take a bad engage. Where's the 'toxic,' 'lamer', or even the strategy everyone keeps talking about?

It’s just the crazy use of the walls, walls are a touchy subject in this game given the cheap amount of resources required to build them

All this cry people who complain agains walls are stupid, learn to play other then rush, all AOE games had walls and they were a key strategy in all games. AOE 3 has the weakest walls in all AOE games, why make them weaker??, the only thing i belive could be changed was to incorporate the pillars to the walls so they have to be built.
