An amazing story about the mounted troopers in the Army's 9th Calvary. The troopers were all African American and they were some of the very first men assigned to protect the National Parks. They were known in American military history for their outstanding service and their dedication to duty and they were called the Buffal Soldiers.

What a tremendous history! Thanks so much for telling us this wonderful part of our American story. My Dad --Oscar Moore --was a Buffalo Soldier who served in World War II and was stationed at Ft. Clark, Texas. I am proud of the legacy he left.

I really enjoyed this video just these last few months I have been reading books about blacks in the military. I have purchased books like Patton Panthers ,buffalo soldier ,Harlem hell fighters and a DVD called Marines at Montfort point. I have learned so much about our history and soldiers like Henry Johnson ,Ruben rivers and etc. The contribution s and sacrifices they all made to serve a country that did not care if they lived or died. I tear up at all these videos and books . Thank u for this video and all the others that I can continue to learn about things I was not taught in school. Im not sure what word to use but I am intrigued and obsessed with military life of the blacks and will continue to learn more about and also share with others.

I enjoyed watching your video. I live in the Macon, Georgia area. I would love for you to do a video on the life of Chaplain Theophilus Gould Steward. T. G. Steward chronicled the history of the Buffalo Soldiers in the United States Army. The church he built in Macon, GA. still stands; but sadly African American children in Macon Middle Georgia know nothing about him. I have developed the first African American Learning Management System of Macon Middle Georgia history to motivate at-risk youth to accept their Ancestral Obligation to learn (Macon Making U). Amazing men, yes? They still live on and are active. My son is from that Battalion, and is giving a presentation about them. The 92nd ID was the Black Buffaloes. 317th is now known as the Buffaloes, which pays homage to them. From the civil war to WW1 and 2, to the Cold War to the Gulf War, the list goes on and on as does their legacy. 🥰

Watching this video has me hoping that I have someone in my pass generations that was a Buffalo Soldier. I so enjoyed this video and the song. I was doing a research on organizations that represented work in their community involvement by giving back and that projecting positive self images and showing respect for others, working with our youth helping to strengthening their character. I have found so much about Buffalo Soldiers I wish to be apart of you. I have a great way to work with the Buffalo Soldiers as a group, an organization or individually to use the cash-flow of being a Member plugged in Essentials Reward of Young Living Essential Oils to place in your fundraising account. Please connect me Darlita Cross on facebook and at www.youngliving.org/dmcross Click on the Business and Member. This is about relationships with the people we love wellness and the community that we give back to in so many ways. I am doing the same to help take the control of my wellness and as an extra income. Come join me and help me to help others too. Thank you I look forward to hearing from you and many of your followers and Soldiers. Please share this informations through your emails, Facebook and other social accounts. Be the start of this project. I will support you through the process. With much respect I am here to help. Asking you for an opportunity. Thank you, God bless you and your causes.

Darlita Cross I enjoyed your involvement and comments relating to your research. My name is Mario Crosby and come from the descendent of Charles Franklin Crosby of Eagle Pass, Texas. My fathers mother the daughter of my great grandfather connects my family to his existence. Recognition of their existence in this city is needed n know where to start. I made his fed. depo. Info available to our museum but a display of a monument would be more appropriate do all Americans who come to visit know of their existence in all schools. If you can, could you contact me via this means of contact. Thank you. youtu.be/addme/Eg83kAV7X1qtrj1cOORS0AwS3-un-A
