Ryan Serhant began his first day in the real estate business on September 15, 2008 - the same day that Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy in the wake of the subprime mortgage collapse. While the real estate sector has steadily recovered, Serhant himself has quickly become one of the most successful brokers in the world, with agents under his leadership in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami and the Hamptons. The Serhant Team has been named by WSJ Real Trends as the #1 real estate team in New York for two years in a row, and the #2 team in the country, selling close to $1 billion in real estate last year. Ryan is consistently the youngest broker to make the Journal’s top ten list each year.
Ryan stars in the popular Bravo series “Million Dollar Listing New York,” which just wrapped its seventh season. On September 18, 2018 - the week of his 10-year anniversary in real estate - he will debut his first book, Sell It Like Serhant. When pre-sales were announced, Ryan was #1 on Amazon’s daily list of “Movers and Shakers.” As star and producer, this year he also debuted his new Bravo show, "Sell It Like Serhant," started a successful vlog ( / ryanserhant ) and launched an app (Agent Empire: NYC). There is nothing Ryan can't do. His motto communicates his professional and personal philosophy, "Expansion. Always. In all ways."

You can make that argument about anything: watches, shoes, cars, etc. In downtown NY, that kind of space with a view that isn't another apartment building is going to cost you and if someone can afford it, why not. Also, there are probably other incentives provided by the building that are thrown in as well.

@@avuci omg, you so stupid...are you even pretending? im saiyng its not worth it at all! :D location is garbage to live there and again it is OVERPRICED. For a vacation its perfect but not for a living. I have my deep opinion that living in a place where you can't afford to breath a fresh air, enjoy a silent place and moment or live a normal life without huge trafic - its simply garbage not a life. You can visit "Your special city" what ever you want. But to live there is just a prison (trafic, crouds of people, huge noise, air polution) and thats the place were you telling me is it worth to live :D you should be really crazy or brain damaged to say that and go do research about really good life, old man :)

These price are high not b/c they're amazing views. It's just a park. The prices are high b/c people's work traps them in that overcrowded city and having a whiff of fresh air has a multi million dollar premium. Not necessarily talking about this place, as this is a temp home for a billionaire I'm sure. But in general, unless you're pulling in 2 million a year minimum in that city, you've been sold a bill of goods. The world is too big and opportunities too vast these days to be a prisoner paying you life away to smell a tree in a city full of rats.
