I just moved to Almaty recently. I love it so much and I am glad to see more westerners visiting. There are actually some great specialty coffee shops in Almaty as well

@@DarrylTravels Congrats on moving! Glad that you're enjoying the city so far. We really loved it too. We were so surprised at all of the cute cafes and coffee shops! We walked past at least 2 everyday that we added to our list that we want to visit haha. Any specific ones you'd recommend?

I visited Almaty and Astana in 2018. I spent most of time in the MEGA Alma-Ata, just relaxed and had a drink.

@@benandhaley just winging but would like to stay a couple if weeks. So far I like it here. Staying at the Renion kinda pricey for Kazakhstan but I love it’s centralized location. Any recommendations as far lodging?

@@chicanoinparadise We stayed in an Airbnb near Republic Square! I think it was around $30-40 dollars per night. That's so nice you are able to stay for a few weeks!
