It sounds to me like this man gave you wise advise. There are a lot of motorcycle organizations that provide good and helpful service, not just to the motorcycling community, but the community at large. I am a Pastor-Evangelist to the trucking and motorcycle community, both of which overlap quite a bit, and have been doing this for a number of years. I have belonged to 2 of these groups over the past 4 years. Many of our members came to the Lord and left the 1% clubs they previously belonged to. There are a lot of healthy alternatives out there, you just have to look.

Agreed completely! We have a few riding clubs that do charity and support rides for sick and underprivileged families and its so refreshing to see them compared to the "big bad bikers" that are glorified for the wrong reasons.

The guy must like you, 'cause he took the time to give you the benefit of his lifetime experience, to properly warn you off making a lifestyle choice that would be a major mistake, which will leave you with a few good memories but mostly regrets, IF you're still alive to regret it. He's been in it long enough to find out the hard way, that the brotherhood, camaraderie, and everything attractive about the MC life, are mostly just a fiction, and you find yourself inside a hardcore criminal organisation, expected to do questionable things that aren't optional, and neither is leaving. You're always looking over your shoulder, waiting for the cops to bust you, or be attacked by members of rival clubs, or even your own. Unless you really want to be a part of that hardcore criminal lifestyle with all it's consequences, ride alone, or with a crew of friends, and avoid any visual similarities as much as possible, that might or will get you mistaken for someone in a particular club. It's not in your best interests to get shot, stabbed, or beat up for a club you're not even a member of, through mistaken identity. Even social riding clubs can have issues. Years back I kept running into a club on the road, that was a local SOCIAL MC.....they had no ties to any OMC, and weren't a "feeder" club, "support" club, or in any way associated with members of any OMC. They didn't fly a 3-piece patch with rockers, or any symbolism strictly associated with OMC's. Just a simple, square, 1-piece patch with the club's logo on it, that had no similarities to any design that should upset any other hardcore club. Their patch was designed in the accepted manner of other Social Motorcycle Clubs (MC's) like the "Ulysses Club" (for older riders), and various Christian or Military Veteran's Clubs. They had chapters in my state, and Victoria, NSW, Queensland, and possibly elsewhere. They had their own website. And they'd been around for quite a while, with a reasonably large membership in each chapter. Anyway, they were a pretty kool bunch of guys, and when we were ready to leave the cafe or wherever I bumped into them, they said I was welcome to ride at the back of their pack as we were headed in the same direction, which I did a number of times, and had a ball. They kept inviting me to club meetings and gatherings, and were keen on me joining the club. And I was tempted, saying I'd think about it and get back to them, as the President gave me a club business card and I exchanged mobile numbers with him and a few of the lads. Over the next few months they texted me invites to some events or gatherings, and I almost went but was always too busy with other crap, and somehow never made it. But every so often in a spare moment at the computer I'd check their website to see photos of the events I missed, and wonder if I should take the plunge and join. Then, one day, their website was gone. I thought it might be temporarily down with technical issues, but it never came back online. Eventually curiosity got the better of me and I tried calling the President, Treasurer, and others on the numbers I had. Some were disconnected. Others, no one ever answered. About a year later, looking for some unrelated posts on a completely different subject at an online motorcycle forum about bikes in general, not clubs at all, I stumbled across a conversation in a thread that mentioned the club. Apparently they had unspecified issues with an Outlaw MC who decided they wanted their Social MC gone, and were pulling over their riders, taking their cuts, and giving them a bashing in some cases, eventually issuing an ultimatum that the Social MC be voluntarily disbanded or face the consequences. I don't know for sure, but was told it may have been because the OMC demanded they become a feeder or support club for them, and when the Social MC declined, it was clarified that the demand was non-negotiable. Either they amalgamate with the OMC, or else. And just like that, they were gone. So, you don't even have to do anything wrong, to have issues with that world, if you're not careful. Or sometimes, even if you are. Unless it's REALLY what you want, better to give those clubs a wide berth and just enjoy your riding without the stress, politics, & violence.

I'm like you man, I have no intentions of joining any kind of club. It's just not a good fit for me. I do know a few 1%ers, and they are nice guys. Even had me and my wife over to a couple of their events. But that's as far as it goes. I don't ride the right type of bike for a club anyway..( Honda CBR 1000RR ) 😂. Well done on the video man!! Subbed 👍

yup. love the Fury, i ride my Rebel, but still want the Fury. what you were told is (anybody that has common sense, and been riding for a good while)true. most are veterans that have gone through hell, prison, don't give a damn about complying with society. Around a real MC you can act like a bad ass, but it only happens once! don't steal their colors, logo's or fake rockers. don't mingle with them when they are on a run, they will fk you up. be respectful, and then get the hell away from them. i would say this video is for the new Harley riders that they're bad ass for riding a Harley. just be your self, and enjoy riding, what ever you ride. be safe.

I agree … stay away from biker gangs and big groups … I sold both my Harley’s …the people that ride them in Idaho are foolish .. they are fat old people that are couch potatoes… they smoke and drink … yet they think they are tough guys …. I’m a Honda Fury guy and I usually ride by myself or with a few of like minded …. I ride to enjoy life … not to act like a fool fake ass tough guy … I’m an ex law enforcement officer and corrections officer as well as a US Army 4th BN 9TH INF Sniper .. and many other things like a lot of men … and I’m a very athletic man with a long boxing and martial arts background … and still the last thing I would or want to do is harm anyone … I hate fighting even though I know how … I love happy friendly people who are kind and loving …. I’ve seen these foolish men … they end up in prison… that is so stupid to act like this … stay away from these bottom feeders … they are pure trash …. I hang out with the working class that have wonderful families and are very kind …. Harley Davidsons are trouble magnets

Sounds like the old man was giving you sound advice (and looking out for your best interest) and saying you're better off not even knowing. Just ride with your church buddies and your co-workers, and go home to your family in one piece. My pastor always said, "Its better to want something and not have it, than to get something that you don't want....and can't get rid of it."

You let slip the words "...respect for..." at around 4:18. Can you clarify those words? Clearly there is regret on the part of this 'person' you had contact with and that said is there some inclination on your part to further an association?

@toxxic111
@toxxic111 11 ай бұрын
Honorary member means they are highly respected for their services, support, participation and contributions for an X amount of years.. it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’ve left the club, they can still be active. But the honorary members that are are out… they’re on good terms or “dismissed” via presidents orders. Coulda have been from being there for a long time, or he got hurt and can’t really provide but he’s been there long enough to be dismissed on long terms.

As soon as it's a club thoughts are 1% it changes things words mean things, if it's an organization first thoughts are harmless have fun etc, I ride by myself usually because guys get a bike to park I guess, My church friends all have bikes but, rode maybe twice this summer with them, Me I ride as often as my schedule allows it, Since where I live it's seasonal I start riding in the spring first big ride is with my son's Club "Infidels" and of course there comes with them the Outlaws, I admire these guys but it all is going to end, I've been told being a Christian is a crutch then what the hell is a biker club a wheel chair? Belong if you must but at times just want to ride with some friends.

I wasn't MC, but something similar. We'll leave it at that. I trust the majority of the Brothers, but not all. I would say the same thing he's saying, but not because they'll sell you out. It's because the lifestyle and all the stuff that comes with it. You have to be ready to lose everything, including your life. I don't know what he's with, but I know for a fact many of my Brothers that took time for other Brothers, etc. You're better off solo, or dicking around with a crew for fun. Just leave it at that. I did ten years, but because I took time. At the same time, I was saved more time because people that covered for me. That said, these youngsters coming up now are different. They don't have the honor, brotherhood, integrity, etc like was instilled in us. They also are too free with the idea of killing someone over stupid reasons. One the things that made SOA popular was that it contained just enough real to entertain people that know, and enough bs to entertain people that don't.

As an " old lady" to a 1%er.... there's so much misinformation in these videos. Don't take the word of one person no longer in a club as gospel. There's a reason that guy's no longer in the club and it probably wasn't voluntary.
