Had a "Harley Guy" at the grocery store call my bike "A foreign piece of crap." While he was standing next to his car, a Kia. He didn't see the irony. Too many people are blindly loyal to a motorcycle that is largely made of parts that aren't made in America. I say to each his own. If you're in the wind it shouldn't matter what you ride.

I love my fury. Over here in the northeast we have a lot of twisted back roads and the fury Just lays right into them so naturally. I always take the long way rather than the highway accept at night, it's easier to avoid animals on a large wide open road than a very tight twisted back road. I wanted/want a Harley low rider but don't want to be robbed to have it. So I resigned to buying a Vulcan sport then saw a Boulevard , what a cool bike. Then I came across a Honda fury on a showroom floor and it was over. I love the old school simplicity of it without the problems. It looks great from every angle and no nimble sport bike leans into the corners like it although they can out perform it easily. Riding for the pure feeling of enjoying handling a bike on a twisted up road at speeds that don't get you tickets, you can't beat the fun the fury has to offer. I call it a very well balanced bike. If they put two of these engines together as one and fattened the tank it would be insane and fun.

I have the exact color bike you have mine is a 2019 bought it for $10,500 with 18 miles on it! The Fury is my 6th street bike. I still have a HD Fatboy leaking oil and doesn't run. I tried to buy a Sportster S MSRP$14,999 no dealerships had one on the floor and HD is starting to allow their dealerships to play this shell game that car dealers play. I went to local dealer to ask for the MSRP on the Sportster S (I already knew what it was and just wanted to see what they'd say) they wanted my name, address, email, county I lived in blah blah blah went from a salesman to the assistant manager to the manager all to try a get a quote for the MSRP! In the end they were $5,000 over MSRP. I laughed and walked out another dealer got mad because I wanted to pay cash. Never experienced that before. If Harley keeps doing this they will be done their base is getting older and older. How many 20-30 year olds can afford 25K for a new motorcycle?

I’ve never been a fan of Honda at all. Bought my first bike as a 22 fury. I’d always look at the Harley’s wishing I could’ve afforded that instead. Price was a huge price point. I didn’t want used. The fury was way too good to be true. I’ve done the basic Boltons on it and I love my bike. I’ve ridden a friends 20 street bob harley. I realized real fast I didn’t like the normal controls. I love my front controls. I love the reliability. And if I get a harley down the road it’ll be a weekend queen. But my fury is here to stay until it falls apart. The fury really made me fall in love with Honda. On top at every ride with my friends my bike always steals the attention. Something I never would’ve thought possible. Gas station stops I always get compliments and disbelief Honda makes a bike that comes like this from the factory.

I've owned 1 Harley and it wasn't bad. Had it for under a year and got rid of it. Honda's I've been using since the 70's though. Most memorable a 83 V65, a V45 for my son's, both those had over 80000 miles on them when I parted ways and neither ever had a wrench on them..... Fuel pumps, starters things like that yes. On my second Shadow now first one again with over 80000 the current one with 31000. It's hard to beat their reliability. A couple others that I liked, Cushman Super Eagle in the early 60's Ninja 900 early 80's and a 1200 Bandit early 2000's all great bikes.

thing i find insane is you can buy 2 furys for the price of 1 harley both being brand new well depending on which version of a harley with some trims and models 3-4 furys per 1 harley. That reason alone is why im going with fury plus ive always liked the chopper look, but i also would like to have my own place as well so in that aspect harley can go pound sand. If harley went back to their roots and made bikes affordable for the working man i would love to buy 1. I could go the route of buying used, but looking at listings where im at people are either asking for to much, high mileage at the point of engine replacement and generally people don't take of their shit and more often then not there's something wrong with it, but because they wanna get rid of it will keep it on the hush hush until it gets to the new home then it becomes a "you" problem.

Well a Honda Fury certainly looks like a Harley except the price I would hope is a lot less. I ride a 1979 CB 750 that I got back then. Harleys are beautiful bikes. My bike does not look like a Harley, but I named her Beautiful. I'm not sure if the same applies, but the steel used inn the Honda Exhaust system in 79 rotted out early. Although L like the OEM look, Beauty dropped about 60 pounds in exhaust pipes, and got a 10 lbs header. She can ride llke a rocket, or just a innocent cruiser- - btw: the low ennd torque thing - if fuel injected, I cant comment. For Carbs, make them richer ( idle) when loosing backpressure -

My whole life i dreamed of getting a Harley. My time finally came, empty nest, great work/life balance, moved to deep south where weather is beautiful all year round. I bought my dream Harley, a Road King. When the guy pulled up to deliver her, i was giddy like a 10 year old. I got on it, cranked her up, revved the motor, inside my head was playing "born to be wild" put it in 1st and the dream was over, i didnt feel like i was instantly badass, people didnt all run to the bike like i was the coolest guy at bike night. Turned out i was just another guy on a black bagger lmao

HD doesn’t make a Fury? They did when that style was popular, going on a few decades now. You can find these things cheap on the used market, compared to HD’s. Hearing your progression from a Shadow makes sense. You talked about HD heritage, “other companies were operating just on other parts of the world…” Honda was almost 50 years after HD started selling bikes.

People that ride Hardly a Davidson or Harley Davidson think that they are just better than everyone else, simply because of the name. I was approached at a HD dealership in the parking lot by a guy that said my GoldWing is "jap crap". I asked him what kind of TV do you own. He said a Visio. I asked what kind of car does he have. He said Acura. I asked him about his washer and dryer, dishwasher, washing and dryer. All his answers were "jap crap" even the phone he has. I told him that you own "jap crap" products that are made overseas and HD parts are made overseas. HD takes these parts and build a bike from them so technically your HD is as much " jap crap " as my GoldWing but you paid three times as much because of the name. I also pointed out that my bike was a 1978, there MIGHT be one or two 1978 HD on the road today. Needless to say he didn't like what I said and acted like he wanted to take this conversation to another level. I told him "don't let that HD piece of crap get you put in the hospital. Every HD rider " thinks" that they are better than other motorcycle owners.

@@EsotericRider I worked as a technician for honda when I was still in my 20s. There are somewhere between 12 and 16 different manufacturing plants for honda in the u.s. They figured its easier and cheaper on both them and the costumer if the cars and bikes were built here to the american emissions standards rather than converting them because they have different emissions regulations in europe and asia. Which is why a brand new shadow phantom is still less than 10k from the factory.

Decided to take a gander around the showroom, just to try and spend more money i didnt have, when a bike that stuck out like a sore thumb, a Honda fury that was used as a trade-in, was sitting caught my attention. They wanted 8K for a 2011 fury with just under 5K miles on the clock, my first thought was the fit and finish was a lack thereof, especially with plastic fenders.

I spent too dollar for my sportsters and every upgrade possible … it didn’t matter … so I got rid of both Harley’s … I got tired of grown ass men acting like a baby child towards a very nice guy who never causes any trouble and I’m kind to everyone … I never have anyone say why do ride a metric instead of a Harley that ride a metric … and also why do fat outta shape people act like they are so tough and a bad ass because they ride a Harley 😂😂😂 when in reality they are just big and fat over eaters and drunks … that’s all I see … maybe it’s just my state of idaho … I do not care WTF they ride … because I know a motorcycle doesn’t make a man Jack shit 😂😂😂 I digress 😂😂😂😂😂 GO Fury 👍👍🏆 an absolute work of art that rides like a Cadillac and has plenty of power … you can do upgrades that will give you more power if that’s what you want
