The Somalis have been in the Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia region longer than us Bantus. Its important to remind people that these are Kenyans developing Kenya. I love doing business with Somalis. They are honest and straightforward.

Somali or Somalis are part of the 47 tribes that make up Kenya's population. Most Somalis are found in Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Isiolo and Marsabit counties in the Northern most parts of Kenya. So, it doesn't make them alliens from Somalia though we also have a very small percentage that have crossed over to Kenya.

How to tell if someone is from the village in Kenya is by the way they respond to cameras. Nairobians are not afraid of the camera hence those people who feel uncomfortable with the camera in Eastleigh must either be from Somalia or from North Eastern Kenya.

Wueh! Ignorance is really a root of misfortune. A lot of people in Eastleigh are Somali Investors, diasporas and returnees from 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 and other western countries ( as you can see how Eastleigh got dramatically developed in a short period of time) with that being said, The reason people in Eastleigh are camera shy is mostly because of religion (for women) and also privacy/identity is a big thing in Eastleigh. By the way, what made you think Villagers are afraid of camera? Mr, city boy 😂

I have not used the word villagers anywhere unless you are seeing double. My guess is that Nairobi born dwellers just like any other major cities dwellers in the world, have been exposed to publicity in so many ways to remain camera shy. That is a fact. Those who are camera shy are definitely from the country sides. Even animals in places like the Masai Mara don't attach tourists because they have seen tourists from the day they were born. It is just a natural climatization as a result of too much exposure to something.I promise you unless you are deliberately being in denial, that a person born in the country side is not exposed to cameras the way a city dwellers are which explains that those in Eastleigh that are camera shy, must be from either Somalia or from the Kenyan country sides like Wajir, Madera na kadhalika. I also know that the Somali investors in Eastleigh hail from everywhere including from North Eastern Kenya, the diaspora and also those from Nairobi. @@ThePsychofitall

Sorry they gave you hard time when it comes to filming in the restaurant. The reason people in that area (Eastleigh) tend to be very sensitive around Cameras is because privacy/Identity is a big thing. Not going in to details on here but you know ;) ;). With that being said, our people are very friendly.

This is why I never subscribe to some KZfaq channels - the ignorance levels! We somalis are KENYANS by origin and ancestry. This is our land too with over 40 other Kenyan ethnicities. Not all somalis are from somalia Read up on all ethnicities of Kenya before uploading vids. No wonder KZfaqrs like Sabbatical are doing well. Knowledge is very important.
