I'm so glad you asked that question, because now I can jump up and down, spin around, and do somersaults with flip and twists, and answer the question. My favorite American steam locomotive goes to none other than Big Boy, which has a 4-8-8-4 configuration. There is only one still running around, which does tours and etc, and that is UP X4014

The duplex engines were trash, they're NO ONE'S real favorite except little kids. 4294 is accurate though and does no one like SP 975 or 786?

Uneducated ass comment. Duplexes were mainly just maintence hogs, PRR's Q2 and T1 prototypes were nearly faultless barring wheelslip and a few other teething issues that came with Duplex drive. If perfected it could've been the pinnacle of steam power
