Yes. That's a common nickname for OBT's. These spiders are not for newcomers to the hobby for that reason. Even experienced tarantula keepers will attest to their high levels of aggression.

@Shay_Mendez so this Species is commonly aggressive? I saw a goliath birdeater that was totally chilled and seemed like it didn't care at all being touched what surprised me. And I saw another guy catching a wild smaller tarantula snd trying to force it to bit him what took quite some time. After she bit him she quickly calmed down and let him catch her again. No threatening pose, nothing. I'm usually scared of spiders and thankfully we don't have such big ones here in Central Europe, but Tarantulas are very interesting. Maybe because they usually move so slowly when no prey is nearby. Somehow I start to like them.
