Anne (of all trades) and her husband Adam (of no trades) sit down to discuss his farm takeover... and chaos ensues. This is what it's like to get things done in a life full of interruptions. But we do it with a smile because we wouldn't have it any other way.
By the way, marriage is hard. It's worth the struggle. Check out our last video:

MORE ABOUT ME
I'm Anne of All Trades. In NASHVILLE, I have a woodworking, blacksmithing and fabrication shop, a selection of furry friends, and an organic farm. Whether you've got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you've always wanted to do, everything is "figureoutable."
I became "Anne of All Trades" out of necessity. With no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they break and build the things I need.
8 years ago I got my first pet, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool.
My goal is to learn and share traditional techniques and skills while showing my peers how to get from where they are to where they want to go, how to do the things they are passionate about, and what can be done TODAY to engage their own community and grow deep roots.
Whether it's carving spoons, making my own hand tools, restoring my antique truck or growing heirloom tomatoes, the farm and workshop definitely keep me busy and support - whether financially through Patreon, through shopping my affiliate links, through buying merchandise, plans or project videos, or even just liking, commenting, and sharing my content with others helps me GREATLY to keep producing quality content to share.

When my husband said to me the other day “I’m going to take over feeding the chickens because you shouldn’t have to do everything.” I almost cried because it’s about time! Better late than never. So Adam, good on you for getting on board and walking a mile in her shoes. God bless you both. 🤗❤

I don't know you guy's personally but I have to say I'm really glad to see that you both are trying to fix your problems within the marriage! Also it's impressive to see that Adam has tried to help you out around the farm and with the animals to the best of his abilities. Not only that but I hope and wish the both of you are able to overcome any problems or little niggles within the relationship and are able to stay together for many many more years to come. When you love each other anything is possible!!!. As alway's guy's 💯% 👍 🇬🇧. P.s. Adam just remember the farm side of the work wasn't something that comes naturally to you and not only did you do it impressively but the biggest thing to remember is that things could have gone far far worse than you thought possible, not only did you survive but so did each of the animals. 👏🙌

😂 love this. Life is better with people (and animals.) But you are so right…the interruptions are constant! Love this honest take. We are not homesteading, but we’re homeschooling with 4 kiddos and I am constantly trying to set boundaries (for myself) with social media and managing interruptions.

I love this so much!!!! He did a wonderful job while you were away. And the noise.....I think it's amazing that most of the time I don't even hear the noise, until I turn on my camera to make a video. Sometimes even then I don't hear it, until I sit down to edit it. And I'm like Holy cow!!! Roosters crowing, goats bleating, my barn fan (I try to remember to turn it off for videos but doesn't always happen) Birds, planes etc.

There are only so many hours in a day. It is imperative that you get your sleep so you can think clearly and feel well. I believe it was Joel Salatin who said you should not have more than four hours of chores to do in a day. The remainder of that time will be spent supporting your operation. Additionally, the sense of accomplishment you feel after completing a project from beginning to end is way beyond the feeling you get after starting too many projects and completing none of them. Sometimes, less is more. Keep up the great work!

When I first heard the donkey? howling in the background - it sounded like an old steam engine blowing its horn. Having worked a farm for many years (a long long time ago in a universe far far away…), up at five o’early thirty, done at dark…sort of, maybe… Guess I can relate to you youngsters after all. It was hard work, but it was honest work. Some of my best memories. Keep it up. You won’t regret it in the long run. Love you both. Just an old codger…

There's nothing like walking a mile in a person's shoes to understand their experiences. I wish I were closer to be able to help out if I could. I always love your videos. Having Adam on them is making them even more interesting. I have been trying to get into homesteading and my wife constantly says to others that "this is his thing, I'm just supporting him." It would mean so much more to me if she wanted to be in it like me. Happy to see you guys working together.

I don’t follow you closely Anne, but it seems you just do too many things. You have to choose. In mathematical terms, I’ve always said “A = Not B”… sometimes you just have to choose either A or B, but you can’t choose “both”. As Clint Eastwood famously said in Dirty Harry, “A man’s got to know his limitations” - we all have limits.

Three of my favorite KZfaq producers are in Tennessee - YOU, Justin Johnson, and "Life Uncontained". If I wasn't so old, I'd sell everything and move to Tennessee. Work isn't work when you love what you're doing. Yep, it can be demanding, and tiring after a fashion. But what a great life you've carved out for yourselves. And you both seem to be doing exactly the right thing by being there for each other. Well done!

@@s-c.. we did some wwoofing in Washington but it ended up becoming more trouble than it was worth, because so many folks seemed to just want a free place to stay and a tour of my “petting zoo” and didn’t actually want to work.
