When culture, pride and passion run this deep, it's no wonder the All Blacks have been so dominant for so long.
WATCH: King's College, Auckland and Auckland Grammar School's traditional Haka exchange ahead of the 206th Land Rover 1st XV Rugby meeting between the two schools. Breathtaking.

As an Englishman raised in England, I could not enjoy such Southern Hemisphere traditions with my rugby growing up. That is correct.

@SOS it makes no difference what colour you are, you can still participate. Or do you think only brown skinned Island-natives should be allowed to perform and any white players should stand aside and watch while their islander team mates perform it?

Look at the cultural diversity of people participating in the traditional Haka. This is how the blending of indigenous people with the coming of immigration of outsiders. This is why NZ is the envy of the world, they may not be perfect harmony between these worlds but the incorporation of both shows how much respect they have for the traditional people who inhabit this land.

A great sign of respect and Mana shown by these young men. Challenging each other in a friendly rivalry through Rugby. There is no Mana in being disrespectful to our indifferences of nationality, culture or race. Only ignorance. Diversity is key to bringing mankind together. This haka is a pleasant sign of that unity by diversity.

I am home grown Maori from the East Coast of New Zealand. Bought up in a Maori Community - Whakaki, Wairoa but my ancestry is Maori, ( ancestor Kahunginu ) German ( ancestor Johann Hachem Smidt ) Scottish ( ancestor David Gemmell ) Irish ( ancestors John Welsh and Daniel O'keefe ) and English ( William Hooper Christy ). It is awesome like Bashir Hayek below has stated to see the cultural diversity of people participating in the traditional haka. It unifies the participants and sows good seeds of friendships which last forever. Kotahitanga in New Zealand and across the globe is the key to enduring global happiness. Ma te wa.

This is all about respect. Respect for each other. Respect for the opponents. Respect for the game. Respect for those gone before. It is a wonderful tradition and could do so much for those in our society that think respect comes with a gun, a punch, a colour on a jersey or a bad attitude. All our young people should be engaged in this positive behaviour as can only do good. Wonderful and thank you for posting. Made my day.

I always gonna admire how they took haka something that it was traditional from the natives and put it in a national spectrum, which means doesn't matter how you look if you are from New Zealand the haka is yours... so Bravo

Utterly brilliant. Sends shivers down my spine. And that's from a very proud Englishman 😆 The U.S. can keep their Tinsel-Town pom-poms, marching bands and baton-twirling majorettes. *This* is the way to tee-up a sports match. Proper Passion. Long may it continue.

It’s so strange seeing a tonne of people in traditional English school uniforms performing a traditional chance - it’s amazing, I love it and wish we had something like it here, I know it’s unique to be so widespread across the population and all generations.

They had to finance rugby big time though, otherwise we would have been like world rugby chumps so glad they had the foresight way back in the 90's. even growing grass roots big time. Jock Hobbs played a big role as well.
