That's the sunk cost fallacy at work. At that point you either accept the bitter disappointment of staying in; or you pull out of it, adjust expectations, and try again. As much as Courtney and Shaylee don't like it; it's as true in business as it is in relationships.

I did pull out of my last relationship of almost 3 years at the beginning of 2020, although it was a really tough decision, it was the best I could do for both of us. I guess that's what they mean when they are telling you to man up... Only the timing sucked, it's 2022 now and I've only had just so much time where you could actually go on dates lol

Relationships are certainly an emotional investment. I’m looking for a woman whom I can invest emotionally into, who would then return that emotional investment back to me, with interest (and vice versa). Going on multiple dates, you know, when you’re not official, is one thing; you’re looking for your person. But having multiple official relationships on the sly? I fail to see the logic in that.

'Love bombing' is absolutely a problem, but it also gets mislabeled by damaged people who don't give other people chances a lot. It isn't love bombing when someone is trying to put effort in and you keep rejecting it. It's still ultimately on that person to respect themselves and walk away, but the other person isn't the primary issue in that dynamic.

Yep, as long as a guy stays fit he remains attractive far longer than a woman. After around 25 it's all downhill for a woman. Not saying she can't still be attractive but she's past her peak years. Relationships are transactional to most men, and to most women it’s emotional. It’s not whether men are right and we are wrong, we’re not alike and we’re not supposed to be. We have to know ourselves well enough to understand that we are giving each other something very important from ourselves to them whether the other person understands 💯 or not. I totally sympathise with guys who become disheartened when the woman they’re dating walks out on them. Men roll the dice with women and are at a higher risk of losing themselves and missing out! This is not taking away from the good women who do the right thing, OR the women who’ve been hurt in similar circumstances. Thanks, Courtney and Shaylee! I’m enjoying this duo set up. Pretty cool! 💞

Re: the guy in the green lit room and what he said about sunk costs keeping him in the relationship, I think - the message to leave only applies while they haven't gotten married, and had kids; - given how fluid (changing based on emotions in western society) and effort oriented (it takes little efforts e.g. acts of service/ quality time/ good communication) to sustain, I think guys in that situation need to confirm if the relationship truly isn't worth the commitment (the partner might still have some good qualities that deserve staying for) vs. they just don't feel that "in love" to the person at the time, since it takes more than lovey feelings to make a loving relationship work (as I'm sure previous generations who did marriage right would attest)

Some guys are saying,"women age like milk and men age like wine." She is upset, and trying to counteract that thought process. Men do get gray, or white, or bald...but, they can stay healthy and fertile for much longer than woman can stay fertile and attractive. Older men are more likely to be established in a company and career, but older women established in a career much of the time are planning their escape or have given up on having a family. It is sad when you ask out a great person and the response is not "I am madly in love with my better half!" Or "I am flattered but have found the love of a lifetime!" Instead you get,"I couldn't do that to my kids," or, "I have been with this person for 5 years and am to invested to walk away."

That red sweater guy was 100% dead on correct. A relationship basically is a company. Because men, guess what? You're not only investing yourself into a woman, you're actually applying to be a part of a woman's life. Men are expendable in relationships because women have SO many options. Just like in the business world, everyone can be replaced. I've seen so many women say, I'm taking applications for my next boyfriend (LOL.) Your first, second and third dates are job interviews, and here's the best part: you're actually PAYING for that woman's time. You're not just paying for parking LOL. Even when they agree to let you into their life, you still have to WORK your ass off to STAY in her life, or as I like to call it, EMPLOYED. Or you get pink-slipped. A girlfriend, fiancé or wife ends up being your boss at home, because you always have to impress them, meet their every needs, wants, and more, answer all of their penetrating questions perfectly, handle their shit tests, and produce financially.

I saw another redpill channel from a psychologist who talks about this. Studies have shown women are turned off by what you just said "investments". It's weak and beta and they feel you are crazy and pushing a relationship and will back away. The reason he said while women fall for dirt bags is they don't invest in women so they invest in the man. The more a woman tries to please her man, make dinner for him, tell him she loves him the more she falls under his spell. I forgot the name of the channel but he a psychologist. So act busy and be scarce and create value. Stop texting and applying for her graciness as you act like a bitch she will treat you as one. Be assertive and not give a crap and she will be applying for you. The other beta simps will vanish away as she will be chasing you

That's a terrible mindset for success with women. You've got to flip that script by building your value and learning some game so you can date attractive girls with LOWER SMV than you. That way THEY are the ones qualifying to YOU and chasing you for the relationship. That's the only way for long term success for the guy and the girl.

@@jleano609 That is not good enough. With dating apps even 5s have 2 dozen simps at all times begging for a date. One of them will make 6 figures and be over 6 feet tall. What you need to do is have her invest in you. Have her do things for you and switch the application to you by being scarcely available and not buying her expensive gifts but have her do the same. Chicks dig jerks because they have to do the chasing and investing to gain their attention. Once you mention what you want and have her make dinner, please you in bed, have her buy something like a glass of wine you like she will dump the other dudes and focus on you

@@timothygibney159 we’re basically talking about the same thing, but you can only stand out in first instance by being the high value guy who doesn’t pedestalize her, doesn’t blow up her phone and limits his time and attention. That separates you straight away from the thirsty simps so unless she’s just an attention whore you’ll rise above the others and you can switch the script on her. And as you say a woman will do all sorts of things for a dominant man, basically take on that feminine submissive role. Do it right and you don’t even have to be a jerk, just a guy with a solid frame, standards and boundaries. Your job then is to simply stay attractive and dominant. Actually that’s the hard part as she gets used to you over time.

I see a lot of these videos and have to say that people have forgotten how to be friends. In the beginning when things are new and the romance is at its peak things are great. After a few years life gets real. This is when a couple learns the most about each other. When the going gets tough, the tough couples work together and find solutions together as a team. I speak from 27 years of commitment and dedication to the wife I would have done anything for in this life. Had it not been for cancer we would still be together sharing life. Money is nice but I would have done anything to have her for longer than we had. What people should be looking for is that special individual that will hold their hand until the end of this life. The one that will be there no matter what. The one that will make any sacrifice for them in the end. Dignity, Respect and Civility. People call this being a SIMP. I am along in years but know that real relationships are based on Friendship, Love and Romance.

Hey Courtney, first of all, wishing you and Teddy a very Happy New Year! I love your content as always and keep up the good work. Have you watched Coach Corey's video entitled "Why Women Never Mean Anything They Say"? I think it will make a great discussion video in your channel on helping guys to read between the lines of what women really mean in their words and do you agree on women using extreme tests like a 'fake breakup' to see how much their man care about them instead of proper communication? I am looking forward to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you!

I liked every tip you gave. One thing I disagree with is your point on the fact that a relationship is not a business transaction. A relationship is a trial run to a partnership in marriage. Marriage in itself is a business contract because you both equally share your assets. It's very rare to see a girl actually invest equally in a relationship. I'm not saying all women are like that. But today it's very common with a lot of women.

Reason I'm single is because I'm not 6' and super muscular. Social media and dating apps has given women an overinflated sense of their sexual market value to a point where if you're not a 6'+ personal trainer, they won't even consider you a dating option. Look at beautiful women's boyfriends from the 1990s-2000s compared to today. They're definitely decent looking goods, but not the the gigachads women of today demand.

People are single because we live in a 'post Christian' era. Monogamy comes from the Christian faith based on God's 'triune nature'. Accordingly, the young man and young woman leave their father and mother and become 'one'. Marriage is a beautiful typology of God's perfect nature. This is why it is written in the Bible "God hates divorce". Any cheating pr divorce is a desecration of God's perfect order. We (humankind) mess that up because we are 'sinful' and lust after others and after 'that which we do not have' etc....

@jimbaxter8488
@jimbaxter8488 2 жыл бұрын
@@iconodule3938 it's just the truth. Not brave. The basis of marriage makes absolutely no sense if you don't believe in God. The really popular cultural view on social media is that humans are 'evolved animals' products of 'natural selection'. Therefore, (they argue) as animals, it isn't 'natural' for us to be monogamous. Then they'll blabber a truckload of crap describing how humans are simply herd animals and the 'alpha herd animals' get to screw most/all the female animals to creat genetically superior animals etc etc etc...bla bla bla...then they'll turn right around be shocked, surprised, and emotionally upset when their 'partner' cheats on them. Without belief in God, without human beings being 'made in God's Image' (unique with a conscience- knowing the difference between 'good and evil'- i.e.- separate from animals) and without all humans possessing 'priceless intrinsic value', society DISINTEGRATES into exactly what we are witnessing...

What I have found to be more common between female "friends" is the following dynamic: One woman will play the victim; even though what's happening to her is either her fault or she's being overly dramatic to make an excuse to leave a guy to "put his head in a guillotine." Then the other friend who has some sort of long-standing issues of resentment with men from her past and has nothing good to say about him or men in general will enable her pathology to persist. Then she cheats on him out of spite with however many guys she pleases and/or they then devise some scheme to act out their spite and resentment to get him falsely arrested or put in jail. None of these things are markers of an adult. They're markers of pathological female children that never grew up and are acting out their resentment and jealousy towards men. Women never just leave, they always hold a grudge. Always. Women saying: "its never too late" is a lie. It is at some point. At some point commitment is a right of passage as an adult. Make a decision. Commitment isn't something that only men are bound to land women can just do whatever the hell they want for the rest of their lives. Work through it, be an adult. If the relationship is bad: leave. If the relationship is bad and you were the source of the problems, understand what accountability is and change your bad behaviors. At some point your happiness as a woman isn't the only thing that should keep that relationship together. "I'm not happy." Well, you know what, YOU not being happy is primarily a YOU problem. Yeah, leave him I guess but, are you ever going to be happy enough or are you just going to blame men for YOU not being happy? Indecisive trepidation is a mind killer for women and if the problem persists into your thirties you likely will never be happy and only blame men for the problems that you created that men had nothing to do with.

Regarding timeline - I am nearly 55 (maybe have stated that 27 times in the last couple of hours) and I am FINALLY investing in me. Lots of damage. Lots of bad relationships (I know someone very smart who - correctly - states that I am the common denominator in all of those "bad" relationships). Taking the time now to invest in myself. The dating door is closed for me. Until further notice! LOL. Funny, ain't nobody knocking on that door! Maybe a reason for that, right? If I might ask, what do you think - in general, since this is a WIDE OPEN topic - about Jordan Peterson and his books (thinking about "12 Rules for Life" and "12 More Rules for Life")?

Yeah I agree. Unless the ex is straight up harassing you, blocking (even temporarily) is a bit extreme. I can get unfollowing, because in that case you're not completely cutting them out, just hiding most, or all of their posts from your feed. There will pretty much always be plenty of desperate guys out there sadly. I used to be one of them, and I know plenty who still are. It is what it is indeed...
