Before you do could you explain either here or in a sequel video on why taskmaster chooses not to copy him? Because if I recall correctly he's like one of the better trained hand-to-hand combat people, I basically only know about taskmaster because of that I basically only know about taskmaster because of I basically only know about Moon Knight from the TV show and that comic where Deadpool lets him blow off some steam

@@8-bitnightshadebecause Kanshu (not sure about the spelling) pretty much instantly heals Moon Knight, Moon Knight more or less doesn’t give a shit about injuries, bc they heal that quickly that he’ll just absorb everything and keep going…Taskmaster doesn’t have that luxury, he has to incorporate some form of defense in to avoid injury. At least that’s how I’ve interpreted it. You might say the same thing for Wolverine, but Wolverine is also a trained hand to hand fighter, he has techniques (Beserker Barrage for one) that can be mimicked.

While Deadpool has an excuse with a healing factor. Moon Knight is just crazy. He will rush a guy with a gun, get shot out but just keep going and beat someone up viciously, like a psychotic Batman. The guy has mercenary training and is highly skilled but his fighting style can be summed up as: You think that will take me down?! Nah let’s keep going. Kind of a BB thing but more emphasis on target and less on honour.

As the first time he saw the style he saw there was no dodging. Just blood for blood. No theatrics ( not counting the cape and weapons) just a grizzled man getting the job done.

You didn't explain the best part! Taskmaster won't mimic Moon Knight because of how resilient and tough he is. MK will literally take a stabbing to the chest or hit their opponent with more force than necessary which results in MK hurting himself with the force of those hits. He can brush if off because of Khonshu and the healing factor he provides, but TM can't shrug off those kinds of things so if he mimics him, it will just result in his own downfall.

But an amateur will overextend and put his own life at risk in order to land a hit. In spite of their inexperience, this makes them riskier, more dangerous opponents. Moon Knight is like that on steroids. All of the training, with none of the self-preservation. That means he can be as reckless as he wants when he kills you.

i think the key detail is that his fear of moon knight has nothing to do with mimicry. there're heroes like deadpool who he fundamentally cannot mimic or predict, but he'll still go after them for the right insensitive. taskmaster won't go after moon knight because he knows what to expect, and it scares him

No he fears that too. He won't copy MK because MK doesn't dodge or block at all. He will let you shoot and stab him if it means he gets to you faster. And he will commonly punch hard enough ue shatters the bones in his hands. Konshu won't let him die, and he's fucking nuts, so in both cases he doesn't give a shit. If TM tried to mimic him he'd end up dying, which is why he's also been on record saying he absolutely REFUSES to, even though he can.

But instead Moon Knight is just batshit insane and will straight up commit terrorism to get to a villain. He's one of the heroes in Marvel like Punisher that everybody else refuses to work with and has actually tried to apprehend/kill them on occasion.

@@gambitgarand7861he has more or less a revival factor which is not the same. Khonshu basically trapped his soul in his body and will keep reviving him which fractured his mind so he has a healing factor but it’s more like the some of the hulks and less like wolverines

The main reason Task Master will not mimic Moon Knight’s fighting style, is that Moon Knight _Takes_ punches, kicks, and body blows rather than block, or avoid them. He also tells the students that he trains that if they see Moon Knight, don’t engage, and that there is no shame in running from Moon Knight.

It is definitely an interesting concept of an assassin character refusing to go after a hero because said hero has no regard for his safety or the safety of others, which makes said hero far more dangerous, reckless, and persistent than other traditonal heroes. Most villains will try to put someone else in danger to play with the heroes moral code, you can't do that to a man who doesn't even value his life let alone the life of others.

To my knowledge there are 3 heroes he cannot mimic for different reasons. As explained, Moon Knight is one of them since he is the type of hero to eat a punch, bullet and stab wound in order to get a clean shot on you, something Taskmaster would never do. Spider-Man is another and while he wpipd rather face him than Moon Knight he struggles with spidey since his fighting style, The Way of the Spider, relies heavily on his spider sense. So while Taskmaster can in fact copy his moves he can't utilize them as effectively since he is lacking one very crucial piece. And last but not least Deadpool who is kinda like a combination of the 2. His way of fighting heavily relies on his healing factor since because of that Deadpool can be quite reckless, and since he is reckless and kinda nuts Taskmaster also avoids copying him, preferring to match blows in his own way instead.

Tldr for this: Taskmaster just kind of avoid copying anything he deem to be way beyond his ability. Deadpool and Spiderman for their healing and spider sense, Moon knight for his recklessness.

In close quarter Taskmaster doesn't need spider sense to be as good as Spidey though. His mathematical prediction is enough to mimic spider sense in CQC so much that Spiderman need to cheat the fight to win. That is until Spider-Man trained the Way of the Spider.

The comic you’re referring to when Moon Knight crashed a plane into a building was Charlie Houston’s The Bottom from 2006 and was actually pretty controversial seeing as how he crashed his Moonjet into a building just a few years after 9/11. Captain America actually shows up a few issues later to read him the riot act and tell him to stay the hell out of Civil War.

⁠@@aster1760 I remember the Charlie Houston run, Moon Knight fought The Norman Osborn Thunderbolts, Songbird (who did the smart thing and avoided Moon Knight) Moonstone, Swordsman and Bullseye. Long story short, Moon Knight trashed The Thunderbolts, and Moon Knight scared the hell out of Bullseye. Now if Norman Osborn brought Radioactive Man, (a walking version of Chernobyl) Penance (Robbie Baldwin during his stabby emo phase, who was pretty powerful actually) and Venom (Mac Gargan, who ate the arm of Steel Spider) it would have been a different story, The Thunderbolts still would have lost, but Moon Knight would have been _beaten to a pulp_

He'd have won, but been in a nightmarishly fucked up state, just like you said. Legit Mack probably would have torn a limb off and he'd probably stab him with it making everyone else shit their pants, because that's just how he is lol. People like to call MK, Marvels Batman, but Batman wouldn't want anything to do with the fucker.

Kinda reminded me of mihawk and shanks during marineford, mihawk just walks out at the sight of shanks and basically says "i am willing to fight whitebeard, but shanks is a different matter"

That’s actually not really the same thing Mihawk doesn’t refuse to fight shanks cause he’s scared, mihawk is the worlds greatest swordsman he went toe to toe with shanks back when shanks had both arms now mihawk has no interest in fighting shanks because he believes he isn’t as strong with one arm.. that being said shanks would destroy mihawk in the current arc he’s just way more powerful than we know

He prob doesnt want to mimic him because the last person he mimicked who was this insane was deadpool, and im pretty sure when he did he full on just started hearing voices and realised DP's mental state is like a bowl of spagheti with whipped cream on it, it makes no fucking sense.

Probably, but both Moon Knight and Deadpool fight with little regard for their own safety, so if TM copies them, he'll just end up dead as unlike the two, he has no healing factor or way to regenerate.

DP - So crazy even he doesn't know what's next + Healing Factor SM - Fighting style that requires a Spider-Sense the Taskmaster doesn't have Wolverine - Admantium laced combo of MK and DP (minus the insanity) plus berserker fury.

Taskmaster would have difficulty facing Moon Knight despite random bullshit.Taskmaster's whole thing is reading your moves, copying them, and countering.However, iinstead of trying to face off against one person, Taskmaster would be instead fighting three different people in the same body due to Moon Knight's multiple personalilty disorder. That would mean that Taskmaster would need to switch between one fighting style to another midfight constantly just to keep up with the constant switching

That's hardly difficult for Taskmaster, he can switch styles on fly when fighting multiple heros at same time and can go 1v1 against deadpool, the only issue with MK is his self destructive fighting style.

To be more to the point. There are 2 heros taskmaster has trouble with, Moon knight and Deadpool. Moon knight has no regard for self preservation and if taskmaster copys him it just turns into a war of attrition that he cannot win. For Deadpool its because he is impossible to predict even for someone like taskmaster and deadpool KNOWS this and weaponises it. Plus he also has no regard for self preservation. Moon Knight also fought The Thunderbolts just after Civil War, when Moon Knight was registered and messed up (beating a criminal to a pulp and carving a crescent 🌙 moon on their forehead would do that. And Moon Knight scared the hell out of Bullseye because he stood still while Bullseye came at him on a motorcycle 🏍️, Bullseye the psychotic assassin that gives Daredevil a run for his money.
