Veluza's definitely got Vikavolt Syndrome. Like, the Dex entries go on and on about how FAST Vikavolt is, and yet... It has an absolutely abyssmal base 43 Speed.

Some people surmised Vikavolt's low speed as a symptom of it being a railgun which takes time to charge... But then Archeludon came out which is a giant fûçking steel bridge/railgun yet is somehow faster than the flying bug railgun.

Vikavolt looks like it'd be really fast. 500 base stat is also kind of... shit. Considering it's one of my favorites from that generation, I just wish it was a bit better.

Dude this was a great match. Your opponent made a smart play with the Exeggutor to stop the Veluza sweep, but you conserved your resources really well against those big threats to lock down the endgame. Also, Pikaboo is a perfect nickname

Harvest sitrus protect heals have a 79% chance of working, assuming you are willing to go for a double protect if need be. So its not as unreliable of a strat as it may seem.

Veluza is like the Set Up Sweeper equivalent to Bruxish. Sharpness and High Attack vs Average attack and Speed + Strong Jaw. Both are pretty cool

could you try using a special attacking tauros? it has that classic gen 1 learnset but it’s even more unexpected than gyarados, plus since it has sheer force moves like flamethrower and thunderbolt get a boost

IMO Stored Power + Mold Breaker Veluza works better, altho Veluza's magnum opus would be that under Psychic Terrain + Psychic Seed. Tried in combination with the latter and OHKO'd even Dodonzo and Heatran.

I feel they have nerfed Geomancy too much. It's like using Quiver Dance twice. Fillet Away halves HP and gets similarly (attack instead of sp.def). Geomancy should raise three stages.

I think that Fillet Away takes away too much HP for how bulky Veluza is. If it had base 100 in all of its defensive stats maybe half HP would be okay, but with its inability to take hits as it already is it probably should take a quarter
