I have no doubts the dealership would work with a potential buyer on this issue, after all it's not their fault. People just don't take care of vehicles! C'mon guys, wash your trucks every once in a while! #trucks #f150

Where's all the "just replace parts when they break and keep driving your old vehicle!" people at? Yeah, we get it.. vehicles don't rust where you live. Must be nice..

Surface rust was a factory installed option

I have a brand new 2023 f150 and if you drive it for very long you will see the issues with the transmission shifting and lunging. It has the coyote v8 in it. The radio is super slow at responding and or connecting to apply car play or android auto. Another issue I have found is if the outside temps rise around 80 degrees the backup camera shows a blue screen. We have 3 of these trucks and all have the same issues. But I will say the seats are very comfortable the fuel mileage isn’t horrible and they look nice

Rust converter, Eastwood internal frame coating, CRC anti corrosion spray, Blaster surface shield for seams, POR 15 high heat for exhaust parts.

Someone used it as a truck. Looks like mud on everything underneath. The surface rust is normal you as an owner should protect it with a good coat of Fluid Film.

Fluid film is your friend use it as soon as you get your truck 🛻👍

I wonder how the early aluminum bodies (15,16) are holding up in the rust belt?
@ihredrules18552 ай бұрын
My 2016 was getting corrosion around the ground cable underneath the cab. Other than that, I didn’t see any issues with the aluminum. It spent all its life in MI/SD and I probably didn’t wash it as often as I should have in the winter. I traded it off 2 weeks ago, so I won’t be able to report any further on it.

Salt water corrosion?
@92533492 ай бұрын
Looks like it spent some time off road or a dirt driveway.

It doesn't look so bad that you couldn't turn it around. Maybe replace a few parts, but I would just have the undercarriage worked over and fluid filmed.

Washing doesn't prevent corrosion. If fact it's the opposite, especially if you have oil on there. It just creeps the salt into everything.
@Blue-moon122 ай бұрын
If you live in Salt belt areas washing helps prevent rust 100%.
@peiguy19822 ай бұрын
@@Blue-moon12 No it doesn't. I live in PEI Canada. Salt air, salt water, rock salt on the roads, salt brine, even the soil. You wash all the undercoating off and wherever the frame or body holds water it rots. Washing is for the easy states where they don't understand real rust. The roads are white with salt for 6 or 7 months here. You have no clue.
