Problem is it's getting harder to find people to admire. Seems like everyday great historical figures' histories are being rewritten and doucheified by pessimistic "moral" activists; sanctifying their own existence by digging up unsubstantiated allegations of these figures, then vilifying them beyond public redemption.
@Thomasfrank
@Thomasfrank 3 жыл бұрын
@@maxi-me there's certainly some truth in what you say, though it's also true that things like hero worship and the "great men" theory of history tend to hide or ignore many character flaws. Putting that aside, though, it's possible to admire someone while also acknowledging their flaws. Steve Jobs was abusive, but he was also a genius. We can learn from both of those things - how to live, and how not to live.

there can never be a video that 'changes your life'. Change is not something that can be caused by external motivation or inspiration. It's internal and does not even need motivation. The only one that can change your life is the person you're seeing in the mirror. It's nothing but a clear decision, precisely spoken: It's nothing more than daily decisions, hence discipline and routine.

The struggle of a creator is unfathomable. You need to fight: -Your demons -Resistance -Creator's block -Banality and cliches -Repetition -The "genius" and impatience of the crowd -The viciousness of the critics -Your success But it's worth every second of it. Go all the way.

One of my favorite things to do weekly is the “artist date” where I take my inner artist on a solo date to explore or experience something new, completely out of my usual daily activities and concerns ... purely for delight and without any ‘reason’ ... inspired by Julia Cameron.
