Excellent video! To me Reno is bit of a dream come true. We have great year round weather and we enjoy the snow! Way back when when I was in law enforcement traveling through Reno Sparks during a snow storm my counterpart talked me into eating at the huge Nugget Casino. We parked our marked units quite away from the casino. Before we entered the Casino John Ascuaga with Cow Boy boots on exited the side and told us to park in the HEADLINER parking spots. Although there was no need to introduce himself he introduced himself and shook our hands. John insisted we eat in a well known restaurant inside the Casino. He told the staff to take care of us! During our dinner he sat down with us and we talked like we knew each other for decades. On a return trip I stopped at the Nugget to get a to go sandwich. As I walked in he once again greeted me! We talked to each other like brothers. ONLY IN RENO! As far as new housing the new Cold Springs should be looked at as a model for all new housing, schools etc. I am looking forward to the retail and medical offices going in on the opposite side of 395.

Looking to relocate here for part 2 of my life. Any neighborhoods you recommend? I'd like about an acre of land. Nearby towns are ok too. Looking for some peace and quiet. I am pondering Fernley but Spanish springs sound good too. Planning a weekend trip to Reno/sparks in mid October.

Love this podcast! ! My heart is pounding with excitement, we just closed on our home in Reno! We cannot wait to finally settle and explore it all! for now we will be back and forth between NYC and Reno! Kids are already over there ( Parent's in laws retired to Reno from CA 8 years ago) starting school very soon !

You will be surprised of the area east of Sparks. Drive by the Giga factory and the huge sound stage building. Lots of beautiful wild horses 🐎 there!

I lived in Reno from 2018 to 2021. It was a great time of my life. I met my wife in Reno while she was living in the Bay Area. We decided to leave Reno, as it never felt like home. However, I am now counting down the days until I can move back. Although I have lived in various places, no city has made me homesick like Reno. Moving was necessary for me to realize that Reno has become my new home.
