Another great video! I have a script for my next video on why I use Fujifilm and find it interesting that photographers have such similar trajectories in storytelling. For example, I just traded in my X-T5 for the X-H2 because I wanted more of a hybrid while keeping the 40MP for photography, which I'd also like to talk about. If you ever go look at any of my stuff, you might recognize the city I do most of my photography in. Cheers!

Cheap used gear! XT2 goes for 1/4 of the price when it was new. It's still as good. Better build and better at high ISO the the XT4. Great choise of 2nd hand lenses! XT2 + XF35mm1.4 and 18mmf2 = ca 1000usd used. All you need

are there any other reasons you decided to ditch the S5II? I have one as well and see that there are about 3 custom channels and your right when i was shooting with i felt it was heavy handed on the video side. They offer light painting? huge 96mb files with a tripod but im not into that lol. Im asking because I might go back to fuji as well. Thanks for the video!

Though the s5ii more catered towards video and it’s freaking amazing. I just wanted something smaller. Plus the Fuji has way better video codecs and truly just is an actual hybrid camera. Check out this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hLJya72el8e6oWg.html

Thank you for this great review! In terms of video quality and features, which camera would you choose between the Lumix S5 II and the Fuji X-H2S?

I'd go the fuji for the better codecs and bitrate. you'll have more information in post to work with.

also the fuji is the best hybrid camera I've ever used imo. I have mine set up for 7 different scenarios and I actually use all 7 modes. this camera is a true workhorse for me. Simply cant do that with the S5ii

The Fuji really seems like an awesome camera. I'm torn between which one to go for because, even though Fuji's got that killer color science that I personally dig, my main gig with the camera is shooting videos on the fly during trips, as well as for professional work. So, having solid IBIS and autofocus would be a plus. Did you feel a big difference in Fuji's autofocus and IBIS? Cheers

yea the s5ii ibis and autofocus is better no doubt. super stable and the new auto-focus system is amazing. i can't fully judge the fuji's focus yet though because the lens I was using was poopeh lol. so I just picked up the 16-55. the ibis is decent on the fuji though. i try not to be super messy with movement as of late so these things are kinda trivial for me peronally. @@raissaquintao4873

you wont be disappointed with the s5ii though that camera is truly amazing. Color,ibis,etc it seriously kills. its only the custom modes on the fuji that got me. @@raissaquintao4873

Hm.. there is no reason to say s5 is more geared to Video. It can do both equally good and i realky dont know why you think a apsc camera is better than a full frame pana for photos. The fuji film looks are a gimick as they provide jpegs and i never ever use jpgs. An apsc cqm at 2.8 is NOT better in low light than a fullframe at 4.0 as full frame has much better high iso cappabilities.

I’m not sure of his specific reasons but the S5ii isn’t necessarily better for photography for everyone just because it’s full frame. The X-H2S shoots higher FPS in mechanical and electronic shutter, has less rolling shutter with the stacked sensor, the electronic shutter is 2 stops faster, the EVF has higher resolution, it can shoot at high speeds longer with the CF Express type B card, and the battery life is rated for more shots. Those features could be meaningful for someone, but they may not matter to you. It’s all good either way, people use what they want.

@@blkshrt22 I agree with you I have the S5II and shot my uncles 70 birthday this past weekend. The photo side felt clumsy and the camera felt unbalanced with the lumix s5ii. Beforehand i shot xt4 with the 50 1.0 and 23 1.4 i wish i would have gave the xh2s a better look at...cheers
