The first part of that last Link level was a replica of the beginning of the third palace in Zelda 2.

The way the last level was designed gave it Zelda 2 vibes because that looked exactly like the entrance to the palaces from that game at the start of the level and even after going into the sub world made it seem even more like that.

even then. the first like 3 or 4 obvious arrows were all bad things and the way to go was opposed to the arrow. so even without the description it was kind of obvious to ignore arrows

In the first level, the arrows were the trolls... it was pretty obvious.. even in the first room, the arrows pointed away from the door you were supposed to use.

Honestly I think that maybe level creators should put their desc in the level of it’s needed to help understand a course. It seems like a simple workaround but I’m not too knowledgeable.
