"Tales of the Jedi" was, most certainly, not forgotten by me, and this trailer excited me so much!!!!

They’re tying everything together now between all of Filoni’s shows. I’m sure this and the force sensitives in bad batch is gonna set up what’s happening in the rumored “Dark Times” animated show featuring Ventress, Vos, and the other purge survivors.

Maybe the general audience forgot about Tales of the Jedi, but not the fans. The fans absolutely loved Tales of the Jedi, so it seems this time, Disney/Lucasfilm truly did listen to the fans and deliver!

What a great idea, to continue the Tales of the Jedi formula but through a different era and through different characters within the Star Wars universe - almost like the canon books adapted to the screen. For me, THIS is what Star Wars is all about in a post-Lucas age.

Yes the animation does look movie quality. And yes I did predict Barris would show up for season 2 but man I got it right, it’s we haven’t seen her since 2013.

To be honestly Tale of the Empire trailer is better than the acolyte trailer. I do hope there will be one for Old Republic & Sith Empire.

I really like this series so far, and I’m super excited, but this time one of my main thoughts watching was Lucasfilm going “we put a lot of effort into these models, and you will see them again! That one second of Grevious in Clone Wars S7 was expensive!”😅

My only issue with Baris Offee is that her entire character shift was about resisting the Jedi betraying what they once represented by being part of an order (the Republic) that now solved conflict and established "peace" through violence and war - to me it therefore makes little sense she would turn to the Empire to fulfil her Dark Side. Like Dooku, Offee doesn't believe in the values of the Empire, she just believes in a different means of reaching justice.

This trailer just makes me want a young Boba Fett show using this animation. Set it 1-5 years after Order 66, and we get to see a young Boba Fett in his early years. Basically the story Star Wars: 1313 was going to tell.

Ooh weird have been searching for Tales of the Jedi season 2 information every ones in a while! It was such a good series!!! Some really great moments, all dooku moments and also Ahsoka visiting Padmes funeral (although the book/novel version of her visiting the farmers planet and fighting the inquisitor (with the back story of her white new lightsabers) is way better) Glad its back, really didn't thought it would be turned into the empire, but like I said in my previous comment, thats awesome!

This honestly looks awesome! I love the connections to TCW, Rebels & Mandoverse. The animation style & quality. And of course General Grievous, he looks great!

Tales is the opportunity not to just learn more about familiar characters, but to peak a window into a new eras for star wars on screen. Tales of the Old Republic about Revan, Bane, or Vitiate, Tales of the High Republic about Dagan, Marchion, or about familiar faces during High Republic: Yaddle, Oppo, Yoda.

i feel like this can flesh out parts of the star wars universe that we may not see like what happens to cody or woffle (judging that we don't see them in the next few ep of Bad Batch) or rebel characters as well. A lot can be done with this like Tales of the clones, tales of the underworld, tales of the droids, yk a lot can happen with this

I hope they can flesh out Morgan, but I'm not holding my breath. Happy to see the backstories of inquisitors and probably other imperials that went under the radar. Governor Pryce had a great backstory in the new Thrawn books, it'd be nice to see that told in animation, for example. But we'll see.

One thing I don't get is that the subtitles for the trailer say that Thrawn is an Admiral, but at what point in the timeline could Thrawn meet Morgan Elsbeth and still be at the rank of Admiral?

Just last week i was expressing my hope that whenever a new Tales-of-series comes out, it'd explain how Ventress came back from the dead. Slightly bummed that this won't be the case - for now - but this news still have me really hyped for May the 4th.

Maybe for the next season well get tales of the sith, that would be really cool.

Well I'm hyped, they showed a clip of the Grievous on Dathomir stuff not too long ago and it was down right beautiful, after Tales of the Empire I want Tales of the Separatists following Grievous backstory, he sure as hell needs to have his story shown in high quality animation

Glad to see Bariss returning. And I’m honestly surprised and not surprised that became an Inquisitor, since there have been a lot of fan speculation before this tease I’ve checked out on. Grievous returns with the complete slaughter of the Nightsisters, Thrawn makes an appearance and we probably might get to see Eli Vanto from the comics (Thrawn’s friend), the lady from Mandalorian and Ahsoka show, the Grand Inquisitor comes back and we get to see the training of Inquisitors. But what I’m most happy for is they’re actually bringing in the man himself after we last saw him on the season finale of Clone Wars. I wonder if they’re using the model from the last season or that it’s new one. Man, this show could actually be interesting. Let’s hope that they don’t fumble it. Please don’t fumble.

I was thinking about this after seeing the trailer. It would be really interesting if barris's story reflects dookus from tales of the jedi. Except instead of barris going from the light to the dark side she instead goes from the dark to the light. Now if it does go that way i do think it will not end well for her as I think vader will end up killing her.

As a writer myself, solid continuity gives me great endorphin rushes as if I were getting high (I don't do that, btw). Tales of the Jedi blew me away with its brilliance, telling short stories of consequence, but didn't really need massive shows to hold their own relevance. I've been an Inquisitor fan since the beginning of Rebels, and seeing more about them, including their master, already has me excited! Not to mention the continuity being set up with The Clone Wars, Rebels, The Mandalorian, and Ahsoka in the Morgan Elspeth/Thrawn story! There's a term a friend of mine coined for moments like this, which while crude, is apt - I totally had a huge geekgasm from the trailer! Now how to survive until May the Fourth?
