The one with the delivery driver and the cat had a semi-happy ending. The cat's name is Lolly, and the owner found the driver (Mr. Snow) and they gave him some gifts and a stuffed animal with Lolly's meow, and a photo with Lolly.

I just started working in the trash collection business last month and had to watch a video on "hot loads" during orientation, can confirm that is exactly what is supposed to be done. for those curious the steps after realizing you have a hot load is to 1 close your compactor blade as much as possible to attempt to starve it of oxygen 2 find an open area away from combustion hazards (empty parking lots are a good candidate) 3 dump the load and move your truck away from it 4 contact emergency services and put out any fires on your truck 5 Contact your supervisor 6 secure the area until emergency personnel arrive 7 clean up ( company sends out equipment to assist with that ) P.S. please don't put batteries in the trash, or anything thats still hot.

I really feel for the delivery driver, a bond between humans and an animal can be extremely strong and when a tragedy like death happens it really hurts. Much love and strength to him. They also can last a long time, blades can be in service for a decade or more with adequate maintenance. The rest of the time they're carbon-neutral energy generators. Good to have them in the mix.

@@Chellythefox I saw a longer video on that delivery driver, and they showed the security camera footage of the man who lives in the house coming out to talk to the driver, and let him know that the cat had passed away. And also footage of the driver playing with the cat on earlier visits. Didn't they give him some gifts because he had been good to their cat? That's heartbreaking, to see him calling for his buddy, not knowing that he's gone.😢?

Okay, a lot of people misunderstanding windturbines here. 1. That was a smaller turbine, and a older model (looks like a single farm/privat turbine). They have to be set to turn away from the wind when it gets to rough. 2. Large turbines have breaks and can turn each wing to break the turbine. 3. Yes, they offset the carbon it takes to make them, and do it fast. A coal or oil plant never does, and cost vastly more to build in the first place. 4. Blades can be recycled. The idea they can't comes from older sources and cheaply made turbines from lesser brands. In some cases the blades are already made from recycled material. 5. There a millions of windturbines, some will fail. It's the same with power plants, but we can't look into the building when that happens, so it's only when it's a major thing we actual see it. 6. People claiming that makes wind useless forgot how it works. That windturbine is only going to be a fraction of a fraction in the grid. Had it been a power plant, nuclear, coal or oil. It would have started a rolling blackout.
