I lived there for two years, really enjoyed the apartment. But the amenities are essentially just a selling feature. In the 2 years the pool never opened for use. The in-unit laundry cost extra, the greenway between the buildings was never finished and there is an entire sub-level of artists amenities (metal and wood working shops) that were also never finished.

This is called Denizen Bushwick. Between the $150 amenity fee for unfinished amenities plus and extra fee for each game in the game room per game, and the $75 extra for in-unit laundry this is just not worth it to me. Plus the management team Smart Management is slow with repairs and shady with over charging your accounts. Rent at your own risk.

This was an industrial area, still is to some extent. When trucks and plants open it is nosy. At night it is still scary! This area is near old navy yard. But somewhat far from the public housing. I wouldn't want to live there, but then I am not one of the cool kids! I do live in Brooklyn, won't say where as i don't want to put up with Manhatten wannabes and their BS. Where do u live? I’m born and raised nyc so I’m used to the prices so hearing oriole say how expensive it is always makes me wonder how much bang u get for u buck elsewhere- I tend to think that I’m paying for location and yeah I could get a bigger place but then I’d be in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do… but I’m sure there’s a middle ground, like cities or suburbs or towns that have full homes for same price as a Manhattan apartment but way bigger with a yard but also u have stores within walking distance (or I guess driving distance…. I hate imagining having to depend on a car to get me anywhere, it makes me feel trapped! Like if ur car doesn’t work, u are stuck… I feel free knowing I can walk where I need to go)

The studio lacks adequate closet space but otherwise both apartments appear to be good value for the money. The building is loaded with amenities! But I think it's necessary to have all those activities there because looking at the neighborhood, I don't think I'd want to go out after dark. I'm guessing that there are fees for many of the building's perks. There are no bargains for NYC apartments. There are always compromises, and when apartments this nice in a building this nice seem to have almost-reasonable rents, there has to be a hitch. The neighborhood is clearly one of them, convenience to the subway and for shopping may be another, and how about night life? I wasn't kidding when I said that I wouldn't want to go out after dark.

Now if that building was in Boston, or down in Denver (closer to where I'm currently living btw) with the price adjusted for the local area ( I believe it would be a bit cheaper in either city) and I could relocate my position nearby, I would then consider trying to get one of the two bedroom units, especially if it was a unit that was 2Br, 1Ba but of the same size as the 2 Br, 2 Ba place.

@@chacal811 Yep relatively speaking it's still an absolute steal for $2k studio in NYC. Compared to pre-pandemic, $2k/mo you get a 10x10 room with 2 other roommates and share 1 bathroom in a rundown apartment. But with jobs going remote, I'm already booking it to Thailand. Condos at $500/mo with extremely lux amenities (all included) that make this one look like the budget version. Even when you have a good job making good money working anywhere you want, you still come to the same conclusion that NYC rent is ridiculous, it's not even debatable.

I love the design and all the amenities. the one thing that would bug me is the floor to ceiling windows , with a "door" that only opens a couple of inches for fresh air I respect it's for safety, so no-one falls out, but wouldn't allow much airflow

smaller gaps like that actually allow for stronger airflow even if there isn't much wind, but you need cross ventilation for it to work, so open the 2 farthest windows.

Good afternoon Cash. I really love this upload. But I feel sorry for the New Yorkers who don't have a lot of money, because it looks like every house or apartment is going to be out of our reach. It's like they are purposely making housing that only the rich can afford. Which is really sad, because in the end we are all going to end up in the same place up or down and up doesn't have VIP, down probably has different torture sections but I doubt it's fun.

It’s a compound of a building, with bar, restaurant, and even a wedding venue that costs $30K+. 3) The outdoor dining was closed that day, but the restaurant is Momo Sushi Shack and it’s a very quaint space with great food.
