Actually, they have a reason for this. If people attempt to replace batteries in properly it’s incredibly dangerous so restricting it to people who know how to make a lot of sense.

I love how mine tastes 2 AA batteries, which of course could be chargeable ones but I just changes them twice a year from an old package that has best before date from 5 years ago 😅

I use rechargeable AA batteries in mine. I don't even use it often, maybe once or twice a year, but it's helpful when I do.

The glue is asshole design to ensure that you cannot easily fix the unit. The tape is there to prevent chaffing on the power leads and dead shorting a lithium battery. Poof.

Well the reason he says no reason for that is because of the difficulty that little hole causes, if you've never touched those ribbon cables, they are pretty easy to rip, so that weird frame thing is kind of bad design

You know those Yenkee super thin keyboard? Udk the exact name. They are super thin and have just a thicker part in the upper portion where the battery is. It's impossible to take them apart without breaking it

That was a surprisingly easy repair considering it's an Apple device. Also it probably would have been a good idea to cut the piece of plastic off that was where the cable was supposed to go for the battery if you're not going to use it. It probably isn't structural so it's probably safe.

The best way to fix any issue you have with the magic keyboard. Is to replace it with something that is not apple branded. That thing just sucks
