I love how those Hot Wheels turbo boosters haven’t changed at all since the 80’s. Same gigantic batteries and horrible noises.

Only thing changed is the material of the wheels that boosts the cars, went from foam to rubber

The most likely reason multiple cars on the track increases the likelihood of crashes is because of the motor. I had a powered Hot Wheels set with an octopus with a similar system. Every time a car goes through that motor, the motor gets temporarily slowed just from the force of it all. This means if another car immediately goes through that motor, it's being pushed by less force and slows down the motor again, which is why they'll by more likely to fall.

@@mohawk1010 Could be both! ETA: Yeah, definitely. It becomes more unstable even if they're on different tracks, and I think each track has its own motor (could be wrong though)

Santa brought this for my son and in my opinion it’s non-functional for some reason it’s hard to get it to even make a loop sometimes it’ll make a couple loops on the outside track but the inside truck doesn’t work very often

One of my favourite childhood memories was walking through Smyth's Toy Superstore and seeing all these huge toys I couldn't get. Well now I'm 19, have a full time job, and nobody to stop me from buying all the giant toys I want. Just earlier today I bought the lego sonic set

This track actually can be raced. Every time a car passes the finish line, one of those red/blue flags raise up, and after like 5 laps it caps off the other racer from continuing.

As a parent and a gunpla builder. Get a pair of tweezers for your stickers. Alot easier. Also most sticker adhesive isn't water saleable, so if you spray a little water on the surface to be stickered, you can slide it around until you like where it is then gently rub it to squeeze out excess water. Works really well.

My son has this set, you can race and that's also the reason the carts are often stopping/flipping at the end. The flags can be lifted, if you lift em the gate lets carts pass (otherwise it will block the road and stop/slow down carts) and the gate counts down the laps, forst to get the flag all the way down wins!!!

I kept seeing this in my Target's Hot Wheel aisle twice a week, was always curious about it. Pretty good bang for the buck in comparison to the regular Hot Wheels sets.

This set might have been cooler with some kinda switch to send the carts off to another track ... but it seems like the "connect track" bits all make the other tracks end up here. Idk would be cool to send carts shooting off and into say the rainbow road

Maybe if you added a weight to the white tower to stop it shaking (maybe add one to the sign too) then you could put more cars on at once. I wouldn't be surprised if the track shaking is what's causing them to fall off when there's multiple cars on one track. You can't race in the classic way but an endurance race would probably be fun, placing bets on who will be the last to fall off the track. :D

my mom actually got this from someone online for my niece and it is a fun toy for her. she doesn't really get all the buttons and doesn't like the motor noise but she likes the play with all the karts we have for her and I'm a big fan she got Dry Bones alone with it.
