I agree with you about the abandoned shopping cart. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. And I have left full carts of food and run out of the store because I was having a full blown panic attack. That has only happened to me twice. If I have a second person with me to talk to, and distract me, then I'm ok.

Wow what a great score! Definitely looks like stuff a guy would buy, lots of meat. Maybe a weight trainer with all the protein yogurt and mangoes for smoothies.And things you all like, lobster dip, mangoes for you, French toast sticks for the girls, scrapple, steak umms, liver wurst , perogies, and croissant sandwiches for frugal daddy and even cat treats for the kitties. ( I know there is more things you and the girls like)

I unfortunately quit going to the dumpster because my fridge and freezer are completely full. A bit disappointing as I so much enjoy the hunt! Great haul!!

One reason why some groceries are thrown away like the steak ums is because people put them in their cart, then realize they can't afford it or want something else, and instead of putting it back on the freezer shelf, they leave anywhere they want, and the stocker has no idea how long it sat out, so has to throw it away. It may be true with lots of the meats you get. I think likely it doesn't hurt for it to sit out a while as long as it is refrigerated or put out in the cold weather fairly soon.

Adorable Adornments, I've seen that sort of thing happen at our local Save-A-Lot grocery; many times. It's a shame that customers are too lazy to put things back and that they just lay them down anywhere in the store.

Over here in Europe Germany Aldi just announced 20/50% price increase. And we have an inflation of 12,4% wage tax 42% and no sun flower oil or flour available.

I sometimes strain the cooked pasta and stir in the cream cheese with herbs. (Leaving small amount of pasta water ) to make the sauce you could add other things if you like but it’s a quick tasty meal. Well done great haul

rubber mulch is often used in playgrounds so kids have a softer landing area off slides, jungle gyms, etc. And it's expensive, so thats a good save

Frugal Daddy’s victory dance was cut short by someone coming. Darn you Aldi employee!!! I have vivid memories of my Mom eating braunschweiger with a super thick slice of onion and miracle whip. Her breath would smell like it for the rest of the day.

Flash has some good taste, those yummy hams, bacons etc. must smell delicious 😋 I personally LOVE all of these spreads😋 The Braunschweiger is an official term for a coarse liver pate sausage, here in Germany its license covers a coarse rare meat sausage with onions but as rare meat sausage is not allowed to be marketed in the US, I guess the closest type got the license. I have a shopping cart in my basement. My father in law found it years ago abandoned. It makes a good hamper for dirty laundry. We have a laundry chute and the cart sits right under it.

That was a good haul! Lots of stuff you don't normally find, which makes it more interesting for us English! lol. Diet update.......gained 1lb, swore.....a lot, then started eating non stop for 48hrs and now the size of Windsor Castle.......xxx

What a well rounded score! For the spreadable garlic and herb cheese you can melt it in a pan over med low heat. Add just enough of the whipping cream to make a sauce. I add extra herbs or some spicy seasoning as well. Toss with pasta and veggies of your liking, and serve….easiest Alfredo sauce ever!

Omg what a great haul and a clean one . Well Amy you can look at it this way it is less work for you you put it away when it is clean. Frugal Mommy, I see some Stuffed Peppers being cooked up with that Rice and some Hamburger or ground Turkey. I put Spaghetti Sauce on top of it also. Another way is to make Lazy stuff Peppers just by chopping the Peppers and mixing every thing together. GREAT JOB diving and keep them coming. Joanne

Great dive, FD!!!! Good eye for checking out the bags. There was a bag in dumpster in the last video. I was yelling to open it & check it out but I guess you didn’t hear me. Lol. My theory on the nice bagged food is similar to many. I feel the evening stock person or clerk was given the cart of food to return to its proper place but didn’t get to do it. Rather than a reprimand, the worker bagged it up & tossed it in the dumpster to save his/her tousche.

We're vegetarians, so the meat holds No Appeal. But EVERYTHING ELSE looks fantastic! We only wish there was somewhere near to us where WE could find dumpsters full of such goodness. Believe me, we have looked, but all of them near us are either locked, or full of garbage. And there simply are no Aldis within easy driving distance. Wish there were, but no such luck. Anyway we're so glad we get to share in your lucky adventures. Thanks for sharing!

those cheese spreads are a great base for sandwiches with lots of tomatoes or cucumber (the horse-radish!), or on pizza dough with lots of onions / spinach / leeks and cheese. You can mix in some salmon if you have. or bacon.

In a hot climate, it is much more challenging. You really have to be there very soon after the trash gets tossed. but when you find cold things in a hot dumpster, that's a good sign.

@@freakinfrugal5268 yeah I always look. Sometimes I get lucky. Our dumpsters here in Texas are the huge ones that are super tall. I wish we had yalls. But don’t you worry I keep on going! It’s heartbreaking when I can’t save food. It’s sickening how much waste we have here.
