Here is the Fifine Ampligame AM8 microphone which gives you the best of both worlds of connecting it either through USB or XLR connection. It comes with RGB lighting which can be controlled by a button or turned off if you're not feeling the love for the lights.
It is a dynamic microphone so speaking into the top is where you are going to get the best audio and there's no need for a converter to mount it onto a boom arm as it has both 3/8" and 5/8" thread built-in.
The microphone is used throughout the review and we are using the XLR connection with it being connected to our GoXLR Mini right up until the USB tests towards the end of the video. When using the USB connection, our Windows volume setting for the microphone is 88 out of 100 and the volume on the microphone itself is around 95%. No filters have been used so what you hear is what you're going to get.

Thank you as always :) I do like these microphones which give you the option of both XLR or USB, it means if my mixing desk ever breaks then I can still use the same microphone through the USB :) Hope you're well mate.

Hello buddy, I hope you're well :) If you've only got the XLR cable plugged into the mic and into the mixer then the RGB lights won't light up. It needs the USB cable plugged in too so it can delivery the power needed for the lights to come on. You can plug the USB cable into your computer and still plug the mixer in and use the XLR connection, just make sure you set the Fifine SC3 mixer as your microphone in your operating system. I hope this helps :)

Hello buddy, I hope you're well :) No it doesn't need phantom power, i've currently got it hooked up to my GoXLR mini with phantom power disabled. The volume controls on the mic won't work when connected through XLR. The volume will be controlled by your mixer. I hope this helps :)

Hello Zack, I hope you're well buddy. I like the sound on both of them. I'm actually going to be doing a live stream on Tuesday and Wednesday showing the Fifine products i've got here and I still have both the K688 and AM8. You're more than welcome to jump in the stream and you can have a listen to both of them through my GoXLR mini and using their USB connections. I'm personally using the K688 for my stuff, mainly because it was the first of the two I had and it's already mounted on the boom arm :)

Hello can you please tell me I am torn between the Fifine AmpliGame AM8 and the Fifine FIFINE K678 Unidirectional USB Mic, the price is same for both yet I dont know which to go with I know one is a dynamic and other a condenser, the thing is just I want to know which is overall better, I dont intend to use a boom arm just the base stand for both of these and yes I have outside noise at some points as an outside door is near to my setup.

Personally, if you have outside noise then I would go with the AM8 with it being a dynamic microphone. Get it close to your mouth and turn the volume down to help restrict any background noise being picked up. What is your honest preference for a microphone for this price point that utilises USB audio? I've researched and landed on brands such as the Fifine am8, audio-technica AT2020 USB, audio-technica 2100x USB, and Samson Q2U.

Hello buddy, I hope you're well. I've used a number of the Fifine microphones and they've all performed extremely well, especially for the price of them. I've not personally used any of the Audio Technica stuff or the Samson Q2U, but I do have a friend that has the Samson Q2U and they love it. There are several live streams on our channel where we show some of the Fifine microphones in action so you get an idea of what they sound like. We do a weekly live stream which I schedule around when I find price drops on products that i'm going to show. You're more than welcome to come into one of the streams and I can show you the microphones.

Hello buddy, chances are it's going to pick up the air conditioning unless you turn the volume of the microphone down and have it really close to your mouth. Another option you have is running the microphone through RTX voice and this does a great job at removing any background noise and should remove the air conditioning noise too.

Hello there :) I hope you're well. I've tested the microphone in my Samsung Galaxy S21 and it worked fine using the USB C into my phone and the USB C into the microphone. Do bear in mind that you won't be able to hear anything through your phone speakers (Well I couldn't on my phone) but as a microphone, it works fine :)

Unfortunately not. I think there is a way to get it to work using the xbox app but you would need to check some youtube videos as I don't have an xbox to play around with it.
