@@williambutler3630 The 007 loading screen is great 👍🏾 I watch it about 80 percent of the time, the other times I just cut it short and start the bike haha. I got it off it’s first owner at only 600 miles on it. He felt it was too short and heavy for him so getting it in and out of his garage was too annoying and he wanted to get another rare retro bike. I saw it at my dealership one day and simply asked for the owner’s phone number and he was willing to sell. Just pure luck.

I rode a Speed Twin about 4 years back with the 1200 in it and just loved the motor so when I found a used 1200 Scrambler XE Showcase Edition, used with 4.5 k miles, around 12k, I bought it. It’s the most fun bike I’ve owned. Simply a joy to ride, head turner, torque monster. The motor just comes alive from 3,500-5,000 rpm’s and stretches your arms. It came with Arrow exhaust and has a beautiful note. It’s everything a motorcycle should be: Fast, sexy, dangerous, fun and a bit loud. Get one!!!

How was that trip? Considering trading up to the XE and will do everything from commuting to long trips. Just came back from a 2000 km trip in Norway on my Trident 660. It worked okay despite too tall for it. People say I shouldnt get the scrambler because it isn't optimal for long trips - but I think I'll be fine lol

@@jsaykayits all subjective but I belong to masochists that love the feel of naked bike so I didn’t mind the wind blow. It feels totally comfortable at 110 km/h, cruise control allows you to relax and just meditate during long straight parts. If you can bare with this kind of cruising speed, it is a blast. We have done 3500km in 7 days and I would go further if only had time. The seat could be better but at those speeds you allow yourself to stand frequently which, for me, solves the problem. Engine capacity makes riding in any rev range effortless, which I find very important on long trips. If you have any particular questions, don’t hesitate. I ride the XC version. Done Stella del’assietta off road in the alps without any issue. By the way I’m making a movie from the trip, a trailer is already available on my channel ;)

@@jsaykay You’ll be fine if you feel it’s your thing. This year I’ve done 3500km in 7 days, with some off-road and had a blast (trailer on my channel btw). I recommend a leather jacket for aerodynamic ergonomy, and if you’re fan of naked bikes like I am, you can live comfortably with cruising speeds up to 110 km/h, especially with cruise control. Standing once in a while helps with butt soreness. Engine capacity makes riding in any rev range so effortless and fun. I’ve owned and traveled on many different motorcycles and this just touches my soul. Love it 👌🏻

I got to ride the Scrambler 1200XE at IMS in 2021. Triumph was doing self guided demos. I must have rode that thing at least 7 or 8 times, even with the tons of other bikes there to ride. It really is a phenomenal motorcycle that I plan to own at some point.

I have the 1200XC gold line edition. I have three other motorcycles right now and they are all for sale. This is my forever bike. It does everything that want, and does it well, and I’m usually grinning like a Cheshire Cat as soon as I let the clutch out. I’ve taken it off road-nothing too serious, and there is still more bike there than there is talent between the handlebar and the seat. My only gripe is the part that attracted me in the first place, that high pipe gets a tad warm….. and by a tad, I mean badword hot at times.

Purrrfect engine. Triumph have a way of making all the components melt together and work effortlessly, and it starts with that torquey engine. It sounded beautiful as well, I always said all bikes should have no more than two cylinders. Saying that their triples are something else in terms of power and delivery, but as a fun bike they've nailed it with this setup. For really big distances the Tiger range works so well, with a lack of nervousness that you get with the V4 Multistrada, sorry Ducati.

I love love love my naked sport/adv touring Scarmabler XE. I’m glad peeps like yourself is recognizing this bike. I wouldn’t be surprised if you pull the trigger on this puppy and sell the good ol’ Desert Sled, because as fun/interesting that bike is. It lacks some creature comforts that this Triumph provides at least to my eye. P.S. these 2022+ euro 5 models is a slip-on exhaust away from de-catting the bike. Hence eliminates a good amount of heat on your legs. I’m a fan of the Arrow exhaust with baffles in from the Triumph accessory catalogue. It’s a classic Arrow signature snark, yet comfortably livable on long distance tours!❤

We have a pair of 2023s. We installed lowering springs - adds cushion and better suspension for off road. The mode shifting can be done on the fly except for the off road and off road pro which have to be at a full stop because of the ABS and traction control. The tilting display is great for off road.

I like the scrambler style but because of the weight I think I'd chose the new 400 over the much heavier twins. The Fantic Caballero 700 (Yamaha CP2 engine, around 400lbs wet weight, 150mm Marzocchi suspension, and Brembo brakes) would perfectly satisfy my scrambler wants/needs but it unfortunately is currently forbidden fruit for the US market!

Stopped off reading with though because it’s just too nice too nice to drop. Agree with you on the wind but I added a Dart small screen just to keep the bugs out of all the wiring under the speedo. 17:40 I understand what you say about not needing wind protection, because even without it, the bike gives you a much more adventurous feeling. But that argument is good in low-speed travel situations, or short tours, or with bikes that maintain a more thrown forward stance. The truth is that in such an upright posture, the wind exerts a force on the chest that is bearable, but at the end of the road you will find that your arms and neck will be very tired, because you went the whole trip with tension in your extremities to counter that force. If you've never ridden with wind protection, your brain probably handles it better, but once you've tried a bike that helps make your ride more enjoyable, you don't negotiate taking a step back.

I have a theory about not being able to change road modes on the fly. It all comes down to the designer's choice of action movies. Do they like easy going fast action or more intense full action movies. Just picture any of these bikes in the next action movie and see what scene of suspense the bike adds to.

I'm absolutely obsessed with these Scramblers and want to get one. It would be my first bike and I am new to riding. I'm 6'5 so the seat height of these makes them even more appealing for me. I'm just curious if you think at 1200 is too risky for a new rider. I'm 32, so not looking to go fast and rip wheelies, so I like to think I could handle it. What are your thoughts? Would also pick up a pre owned one because I don't want to spend all the money on the newest model for a first bike.

Yam- Returning rider here- hopefully, anyway. I had a Sportster 1200 several years ago. I’m very interested in both the Street Triple and Scrambler 1200. If you could only have one which would you pick? I like the idea of the extra HP of the Triple, but the mild off-road usability of the Scrambler and being able to bomb around some rural gravel more easily. And ya know, flee the Nazis by jumping barbed wire fences. More than anything, whatever I get will be used most frequently as a commuter (about 17 miles into town). Thanks.

Forst of all kudos to you for your vids. Question: since I'd like to buy a scrambler for daily commute, road rides and occasional mild offroad and I'm pretty undecided between this one and your own Desert Sled, could you please help me with my choice by tellin more? Thanks, dude.

I bought a 2023 and it has been in the shop with some type of electrical issue for 3 months. It doesnt look like they are gonna figure it out anytime soon either.
