While I’m not a fan of Li Auto, mainly because of the company’s “middle of the road business model” I fine the Li Mega interesting. If I had a use case for such a vehicle and it were available in the U.S., I’d certainly give it a look.

MEGA is an oddly-positioned vehicle; I think that the price is aggressive compared to their EREV products. They looked at the X9 and overdid it quite a bit. I do like the MEGA though, but they made some mistakes on what buyers want.

This kind of large family vehicle may simply be the one you rent on special occasions. But buying one for every day use I am not totally sure. So market wise they may not sell them a lot.

Yes, Xpeng is an inventor, a clever company doing robots, road vehicles and flaying cars (Xpeng AeroHT), Li Audo does huge vehicles, they did lot of improvements for the inside because they had to copy since November 17th, 2023 the excellent Xpeng X9. But technically they made a copy of what BYD, Xpeng and other good company do, by using probably the good Huawei ADAS system as they could not make a so good one so quickly, and most of chinese car brands use this one, made from the Xpeng ideas and by using the XNGP technologies but with another branding and accurate adaptations, appearing more effective, but unfortunately a bit less secure... XNGP is very very secure, and spare any risk... Huawei is better than Tesla FSD, but not as good as XNGP, but more effective then XNGP to do normal things. Unfortunately, as all insurance know, normal things are sometimes very risky!
