As a scuba diver. I really appreciate you warning everyone of the dangers of doing this diy. Alot of people over look this and believe that normal outside would be safe to breath underwater. Divers only breath 21% oxygen and 79% nitrogen (unless useing nitrox) also ! To everyone out there who see those little yellow scuba dive bottles. Those are not toys and should not be used as such, those are for divers who are in an emergency and need to surface. Those can get you in alot of trouble trying to use them as mini scuba diving tanks.

First time seeing your stuff, really interesting! As a suggestion for v3 (should you feel the need), if the C02 tanks were angled towards the sides of your face, would create less drag while swimming. Also, you might consider this angled idea with singular (instead of double) larger tanks angled towards the curvature of your face. It would be less pocketable but also still allow a fully contained solution and allow your hands to be free while being fairly compact

You should do a series where you make a different part of iron man's suit every vid and have them all connect as a finally with each piece having like one to two working functions from the movies

One way to be able to have more air and have all CO2 cans open at the same time would be to have some sort of quick disconnect attached to all bottles that can be put on or off under water (water proof quick disconnect). You would connect one bottle at the time to refill them and you could have extra bottles in your pockets to be able to exchange them with empty ones => more air.

Possible Solution for opening all valves at the same time: replace the 4 levers with gears, then place a fifth gear (pref. smaller than the other 4 for gear ratio) in their center which is connected to a preferred twistable shape (eg. a lever or a knob or whatever). this gear system should be mounted in an additional "cage" (obviously mounted on the front of the existing structure) thats purpose is 1) to hold the bearing for the twistable shape 2) function as some sort of stop for the rotation in order to regulate the amount of air flowing from all 4 cylinders at the same time to the size of a normal breath. could work :) loved the video, keep the good work!

alright just some input from a medical worker here. In medicine we have this concept of rebreatheable mask, which traps some of the air you exhale because surprise2 you actually don't intake all the oxygen in a single breath. And normally when at rest at sea level, the level of oxygen out of your breath might only contain 3% less oxygen than the surrounding air (18% vs 21%), so if you can expand the concept of this device into a face-sealed mask with some dead space for air to collect, a one way valve to the water sensitive only for when you breathe out, and then calculate the amount you need to keep the oxygen % at the dead space at optimum level. At rest on sealevel this would be 21%, I am not a sports physiologist, so IDK exactly how water pressure can influence the internal lung and partial oxygen pressure in the blood but it might need higher Ox% on the deadspace in the mask compared to sea level, but definitely you can then fit more than four tubes of those and then uses pure oxygen and some pure nitrogen as well and market this device for short term dive in which you can actually expend energy. Out of the back of my mind I can already see that some SAR services or lifeguard services would love to have like this kit with only a mask and some weighted belt which are easy to store and ready to be used at a moment's notice.

This could be used if u need to hide underwater for a couple of minutes just below the surface so there is no nitrogen build up, but you don’t drown in a dire situation where you NEED to hide or run.

The world record for holding breath is 24 min, so maybe bond just trained to not need to breath as much air. He could potentially stay underwater for about an hour.

I'm not sure if you used one or not, I didn't see it, but when divers fill up their SCUBA tanks with air, they use special filters because there are lots of particles and contaminants in the air that can get into the tanks, and when that's your only source of air you wouldn't want it to be contaminated or have a mass of particles. Might not matter as much for the small scale, but wanted to mention it's a hazard for full scale scuba. Great gadget though! Keep up the good work!!!
