This level of RP is not something we are ready to understand

Just to mention another features not mentioned in the video: - when a new guest appears in your court you can ask them for information on the ruler they visited last. - if you have imprisoned a charcater you can torture him for military information - actually, the spy scheme is also the way to learn secrets on a court - not having a spymaster will make your spy schemes fail

Sometimes I have problems with the game being too easy and I think this is just the type of difficulty that I needed

The magic of this mod is that it leverages the UI to create an information funnel towards the player which reflects where the player has been poking around. The UI is more like a collection of notes from the perspective of the character we are playing. I love it.

Damn, this is legitimately so cool. I wonder if it would be possible to somehow come up with a "fog of war" system, that further obstructs visibility of far-away lands. It doesn't make sense that an Irish King knows the exact borders of the kingdoms in the Indian subcontinent. Probably too hard to do but a man can hope.

Man, just this week I was thinking about exactly what this mod does! After tours and tournaments I think this is exactly what ck3 needs to strip out the last of the board gamey-ness that the foundations have. So many of the decisions and difficulties that a medieval ruler would have are completely eliminated by the fact that in ck3 you know everything about everybody always down to even their genetic makeup, I will definitely be trying out this mod. Although I hope we could at least have an approximate knowledge of military power because honestly it feels a bit scary that you go from not knowing if they even have soldiers to knowing the makeup of their army

The cool part is that now you can have a feast with a purpose! The more info about neighbours the easier the conquest.

this is really awesome. this makes me want someone to make a mod where rulers can host courtship events to invite eligible bachelors/bachelorettes for potential marriages for themselves or their family members.

Brilliant mod! Will you do a play through with this? You should, seems very interesting. I especially like the not really knowing who you get married to, makes it more realistic and would require a lot more resources and time to figure out a good match. Also, one could get more info accepting people to the court from those faraway lands. And the quality of info would depend on their intrigue rating.

we need a new roleplay series with ck3 form you, i dont care if you mod it if its vanilla or overhaul i just think your roleplay is too good and unmatched, you cant find many as good at this content as you so im hoping for a new long series on ck 3, my favorite thing is how you focus on the house not the nation. Anyway love the content continue the great work :D

This mod fixes my biggest issue I had with CK3. Being able to see all the information of all characters, especially their traits, was just really immersion breaking for me. Like.. am I supposed to act shocked that my deceitful brother tried to murder me? But now you actually have to get to know people in order to reveal their traits and intensions, which is just brilliant.

I am calling it, this will be implemented in the base game, probably with rules so people who like blobbing don't get so thrown off; great video!!

Ahead of its time. Could easily see something simillar being implemented in ck4.

This mod is really good , i think he would really good fit with Res Publica , i think only thing that needed to be perfect is something like mod that adds trade, and something like characters without land (like they have a title "manufactory in (name of county)" that gives them money instead of land)

Damn that looks AMAZING. Never imagined this was possible through mods alone. Always felt very weird to me a medieval lord in Europe could know everything about a random around the world in an age where we couldn't even take pictures of anyone and messages had to be carried by hand anywhere Not to mention this also makes it easier to know whether I should KNOW this character because in the way it is you can easily get lost and not know at a glance whether a character is someone important or close to you or if it's just a random courtier of some baron

Now, let's add a mod that allows random events and characters to spread fake news. A cunning character inflates her troop count to dissuade potential enemies. An honest character gives you the correct information when asked. An arrogant character may announce that he is a genius with a chad-like manhood (fertility). A humble character may say that she is bad at learning... but turns out she is very competent. Success rate of fake news depends on your level of cunning, diplomacy, gradiosity of the claim, the level of unknown-ness, and the target's level of cunning. Characters may spread fake news for free when talking to someone. Or she may spread fake news either with gold (buy off bar minstrels) or prestige. The mod can be called [Ye' old Fake News] with a picture of God Emporer Donald Trump with 999 stats all across the board. Edit: I'm guessing it would also be interesting if people would spread unflattering news about their rivals. Imagine a vassal who spreads fake news about his liege being a deviant.

I like the mod concept but will AI behave in the same manner as always with the info, or do they also know nothing about you? I don’t like calling a risky war with little info, yet if AI knows my troop count is low and they invade I’d only be making it harder on myself for nothing. If the mod goes 2 ways for players and AI it’ll be a new favorite, if not then…

I started playing ObfusCKate earlier this week and now it will be the only way ill play the game. Its that GOOD!!!!

They should make an entire expansion around this, because it more realistic and adds such an interesting dimension, especially on diplomacy and espionage, having and army of diplomats and spies, who have their own agendas and loyalties, false information for manipulation, etc will make the game so much better.

Now you need the "Learning to Read People" modifier in real life

I never use mods for any games, but this is one that I will use! You put forward a great case!

It would be great to even take it a step further and introduce fog of war (kind of like ye olde total war) outside of either your diplomatic sphere, or where you/your family/your courtiers have never been. Not everyone had a Tabula Rogeriana to see what the "world" looks like. Might even help performance

I'm surprised that all this data about who you've met, how long ago et cetera seems to not affect performance at all? Does the AI play by the same rules? In that case the game needs to store every ruler's(and some courtiers'?) knowledge of all other rulers - at least for every single one they know anything about. That's quite incredible!

What about genetics? i always tought that knowing genetic traits doesn't feel natural, like "oh this character is quick and handsome, so i'll marry him to level up the trait in my childreen". It's too easy to create super rulers (genius, beautiful and herculean) within a few generations by marrying people because you know their genetic traits.I think that if this mod also has a feature that hides some parts of genetic traits it would also add a lot more depth to the game!

I have wanted this to be a basegame option for the longest time. In EU4 I see the ledger as an absolute crutch. Honestly, of all things to model off of, The Sims has had, since 3, a thing where you learn people's traits through interaction, and I kind of wish CK had that. It's weird that we have a perfect window into the psyche of everyone, and not something I could ever just excuse as rumor mill or common knowledge.

I wish there was a mod that added the CK3 Game of Thrones mod Spy Mechanics in Vanilla.

This channel describes it well, "intimidating". Even you hardcore RP players woll be scared at first. Stick with it, this mod basically makes a new game. I also suggest the In My Opinion mod to go along with this.

This sounds great - it always seemed unrealistic that you knew everything about everyone at all times in the game, and now this makes you work for information, and increases a solid streak of the unexpected and the unknown.

Mod got updated. There are some nice QoL changes like a "known persons" tab f.e. this mod is a must for myself. It enhances the game so naturally that it's insane Not being able to see characters you never interacted with is also really immersive. If you want to go hard core you enable the facial opinion expressions feature and turn off opinion visuals completely. That way you'll only see someone's opinion by their facial expression ^^ Marriages are another thing. You now actually need to learn about suitable women before you pull out the ring. Min maxing your wife for certain stats is far more difficult and the vagueness makes it so much more appealing to engage with random characters. I find myself using the character pin tool a lot more and remembering characters and stories more vividly. This mod is hands down one of the best and simplest must have mods imo
