Also the main lab is in the mushroom biome , what you shoved was the ice mines , also the vigil will summon mobs by itself if it has a target however its a coward so any damage or you getting too close will make it run away and on that note , the hivemind that summoned the vigil is pretty much able to see through its eye therefore you will get assaulted by umarmers and more vigils as well until you are dead

I'd like to take advantage of the youtube comments to ask a few questions What is the rarity of new structures and their biome of appearance and does the fact of playing with "The Lost cities" mod can make it difficult for structures to appear, because apart from an ice mine near my Spawn point I can't find anything else (even in the mushroom biome where there is however a lot of infection). ? Thanks for the answers

I like this mod more than the run and scape mod. This mod gives you the horrifying monsters and infection, but you actually have a chance to genuinely the damage the infection as a whole. It’s not unbeatable. It even offers a fairly predictable way for infection to start. The other one is more meant for 100 days videos because the world becomes unsurvivable fairly quickly. Nigh immortal mobs, completely unpredictable infection, and with only peanuts offered to combat them. Both mods are cool, but this one seems a lot more fair.

Scape and run will always be top seeing as it is the true parasite mod for minecraft also scape and run is meant to be played with other mods

@@yardite5785It'll always hold a special place in my heart, but I have to admit it has its flaws. I've played the Sculk Horde mod, and... it just makes a lot more sense to me. The "curing" of parts of the infection using a mix of both vanilla and modded stuff makes a lot of sense, it's far more interesting than just "make tiny cure with parasite part bigger part bigger cure" It also feels right to me how it's a more block-based infection- despite the world being infinite, Parasites infect all parts of it equally, which just doesn't make sense. Flavour-wise, with the Parasites being entities that are completely foreign to vanilla, alien beings that are a scourge upon this world, I absolutely adore it, it follows through on that well, and I actually love that it doesn't generate structures, it makes it feel more immersive- but mechanically, it's lacking. A mod like Sculk Horde will have Graveminds that actually assess the threat level of both you and other mobs, while the creatures in Parasites just kinda run around infecting everything. The mobs do cool things, sure, but that's basically all it is- mobs that do cool things. In addition, despite needing other mods to function, it doesn't work very well with the mobs of other mods. Its Call of the Hive affects all mobs equally, whether they're a stage 5 Ice and Fire Ice Dragon, or a cow. You could be locked in a heated battle with something of another mod, then a Rupter jumps on it and both the dragon and all its drops are gone. It doesn't even have added compatibility with other mobs, either- while on the other hand, Sculk Horde can affect nearly all vanilla mobs, and even some mobs from Alex's Mobs and some other mods, while Parasites hasn't even finished its roster of vanilla mobs. In terms of flavour, uniquely challenging mobs, and the method by which infections start, I prefer Parasites. But in terms of balance, compatibility with other mods, block based infection, and general fun... I prefer anything *other* than Parasites.

It also pisses me off how the Parasites mod doesn't have subtitles. Like, come on, it takes about 5 minutes and would make the experience so much better for anyone with hearing or speech processing issues.

@@yardite5785I just can't get past that one thing- I know that balance-wise it's meant to be played with other mods, I entirely agree with that philosophy, makes it scarier which is good for a horror mod, but if it's meant to be played with other mods, then it should do SOMETHING for compatibility. Fighting a modded boss mob and it turns into a shitty little Complete Form for no apparent reason isn't fun, it isn't horrifying either, it's just annoying and immersion-breaking.

Was playing the fear nightfall modpack earlier, left a corpsee or two around, then a ton of mushrooms started growing everywhere, then fungal zombies spawned and it was a nightmare, and the mushrooms kept farting on me and killing me, everything went downhill had to move bases :( Didnt know you could use snow to get rid of it

I like the fungal spore mod more then run & scape because at least the fungal mobs have weakness while the Run & Scape is just, I guess I'll die since the modder just make them too op that it hard to either get rid of them or defeat them.

i wouldn't say that the mobs from run and scape don't have weaknesses since they are weak to fire, even though they can somehow adapt against an element that they are weak to. and besides, the mod creator of run and scape stated that it was meant to be played with other mods.

@@shadowcelebi3595That still isn’t enough. I remember seeing a video with draconic evolution installed, and the mobs ended up evolving to survive the weapons. Nothing like an infected cow with over 9000 hit points.

Apparently the fungal mod is a bit more than a bit OP in terms of crisis (infection) strength, it is literally unstoppable and most importantly unavoidable even in closed spaces. You need to have a chunk or smth wide (based on my experience )wall just to not let your home’s insides to not infect but cover in not cool looking mushrooms. You might say that this is the whole point but I will disagree, the point is in making outside world uncomfortable, not inside your base

Yesterday I decided put this updated version of the mod up against the updated version of the Flesh that hates, and it was very chaotic. There were tons of infected villagers and animals everywhere fighting each other

Oh wow you were more right than i thought, not only was it weak to freezing effect which i saw in changelog, there's an official freezing item to counter the fungal blocks and mobs. Im gonna do a 3 invasion mod at once playthrough in 1.19.2 with a couple friends soon so good to know that each of those mods have official countermeasures to make holding the line at a base feasible

Im new to this but have you tried adding an endermen infected boss variant? Like its similar to a mutant once but everytime it teleports it leaves some infected endermites that will give you infected: Poison and weakness. Well the moves ill let you on that

The infection should have a disidvanyide agesnt nether mobs and they starve like in ice bioms but if they infect the wither or a wither skelleton they get a strong mini boss. Same for piglins and piglin brutes.
