Seems like a lot of mods have cropped up based on the og Scape and Run mod. Wish the original would update, but glad to see new infection based mods too.

I think why they were referring to was in terms of game versions. SRP is stuck on a horribly outdated version of MC (1.12.2) while Sculk, Spore, and From Another World are for more current versions. The new ones also improved heavily where SRP fails horribly in terms of gameplay.

Wouldn’t it be cool if villagers had a chance of wanting to cull the infection? So some villages would come with villagers that attempt to remove the infection blocks? It would make them look more reactive to their environment.

reminds me a little of the mycanoids from Cataclysm: DDA Except most mycanoid monsters aren't *super* dangerous. However the fungal spread itself will more or less obliterate otherwise good land. And it will piss the Triffids off if they find it. And then you've got angry plant monsters building solid walls across roads n stuff. And no one wants that.

@@Jjgm69 IKR? I'm just walking along, not infected with spores or anything. Hell I've been REMOVING spores... and then the triffids get pissy at ME when one of them wanders into the fire i'm using to kill their hated enemy. That's their own damn fault!

@@AgentSapphireYeah triffids aren't that smart, I wonder if there is a mod in which they can infect like mycus, just imagining a zombie with a tree on its head excites me, or a stronger variation that behaves like nemesis from resident evil.

@@Jjgm69 lol It's bad enough that I have to deal with mushroom infected people. I don't need tree people attacking my Doom Buggy along with everything else. Yes that's what I call my vehicle. No I will not apologize. It is an APC with mounted laser guns, cameras, multiple engines, solar panels, tons of storage, and a tank gun on the front for the occasional chicken walker. It is a mobile base that brings doom.

If you ask me for a very good zombie, survival type, gameplay or apocalypse gameplay I recommend these mods I don’t remember the name but it’s a very good zombie mod the second one is the mod in this video and the last one is scape and run parasites (ff/funfacts the boss he shows off here in this time frame 3:15 might be equal to either the king or queen from the scape and run parasites but it’s the only boss right now for the fungus mod so we don’t know if there’s going to be something similar to the Queen from parasites mod because the one we see now is similar to the king, but with many more differences thanks for tuning in for ff/funfacts)

Mi alliance can invade any dimension the moment you enter it and sculk can start to naturally spawn in a dimension if you accidently bring the sculk infection to it. I wonder if fungal spore has or will have a way to invade other dimensions like that, i was suprised to see endstone get infested. Im also more aware that there are neat connections like the mushroom islands now naturally spawning with fungal spore mushroom stuff, and that the spore infection spreads normal mycelium blocks. I wonder if there is anything else like that planned to expand the mod, maybe something invovling nether hyphae trees

What's also good about this mod is the dev allows the player what can be infected, including the blocks. The blocks, to a certain limit, can also become other blocks or even mobs, again to a certain limit. The speed of the infection and how far can also be changed.

Both this mod and Parasites have some Halo influences and they're a treat to identify. The little infectors in Parasites (Ruptures) are very obvious inspired by the Infection Form and the Marauder is literally just a Flood Juggernaut for example. The Evoker in this mod has a very Flood like arm for an example of Halo's influence on this mod.

The mod reminds me more of Last of Us due to the fungal theme. Some of the evolved forms look like rat kings and bloaters as well.

There is an add on for the mod that exists. Alex’s Mobs also adds some mushroom mobs in the forms of Mungus and Bunfungus. Although, Bunfungud attacks infected, and both Mungus and Bunfungus need to be configured to be immune to Mycelium.

Not possible due to Parasites being stuck on 1.12.2. Knowing how stupidly OP/cheap Parasites is, the newer ones have no chance against it. I’m pretty sure only equally as cheap/unbalanced mods like Titans and Orespawn stand a chance against Parasites.

They spawn like normal mobs in dark areas and in mushroom biomes. It can be configured to start after a number of days though. I always do this in packs I include it in to give myself a chance to prepare.
