Is there a mod like this for Session? I like how in XL a regular 360 flip has the same input as a Fakie 360 flip since they feel that way IRL

Thanks for being fair to both games and not outright leaning one way or another. We can appreciate both games for different things without disparaging one or the other like other content creators do.

I’ve always thought skaterxl did it better, with switch and flair controls, but after actually getting my hands on session, it makes so much more sense as a skater than XL

This mod was the only thing that allowed me to skate switch on xl. I hated the switch controls from the beginning.

Sorry, I'm Brazilian and I don't understand much English but I watch all your videos, anyway... how did this mod make a difference?

In Skate we called the XL style switch controls "true switch." You had to get into switch and then hold your nollie input down just slightly and you'd stay in "true switch" in Skate and have switch style rather than having the game just give you regular style in switch stance. Having given feedback on Skater XL during development with Skate controls in mind, this is likely my fault. Sorry Garrett! haha In my head I always thought of a switch flip in skate/Skater XL as a nollie flip just backwards, hence the inputs being the same. Skateboarding games need options for both and everything in between!

So this is interesting because I was playing session first on Xbox since it was out before xl . but still skater xl controls just came more natural to me , I think it comes from Playing ea skate and "true" switch stance required you to put nollie input right after a 180 so you were facing more backwards rather than straight forward.

Man, xl still looks so fluid in that opening comparison 😢

I just want the opposite 😅, skater xl contols in session, but I have the impression that it does not exist. For me the direction of sticks in session is unplayable...

Just spent $60 on session and I'm pretty disappointed. I wish XL and session combined they both have a lot to offer from both but Xl flows so much better

Garrett what are you doing dude everybody is being misled and everything that is great allow me to restate that everything that is the greatest of all time about skater XL is being overshadowed by session claiming what skater XL already was is and always will be because we all know in the bottom of our hearts that skater XL is the end all be all there's no need for improvement whatsoever the game on vanilla is the best skateboarding experience this Earth will ever see I have been glued to every single skate game and every other game since childhood I'm 47 I started on calico vision and in television Burger Time the good s*** anyway you know frogger well what makes me mad is when you look up and ask the question what's up between the two it literally says on your Google search that session has surpassed skater XL I'm sorry but I just literally beat the crap out of my brain and hands and time schedule for the past 2 years because I didn't get to finish my skate career IRL and for the love of God I swear skater XL truly allows me to feel like I am either continuing or at least capping off a big empty hole session will never ever ever be able to claim that because everything that is deep good and loved about it xl had already been doing for what 7 years I mean come on so sorry about the rant but this is so deeply important to me was a member of boredhouse virtual skateboard company and yeah call it fake if you want to but my emotions were as real as it comes and when they hired me on that team I felt like a real pro I love this game it has more replay value than anything in the history of mankind and I know I make a lot of really strong out there statements but these are just for me and that's what I was trying to say as far as everybody else and the way that they're trying to feel the happy medium and get with session I'm with that don't get me wrong I hate the way that Google search and read it and every other crap social platform says that session has surpassed it on version 1.0 I'm sorry but that's when the game got the worst because they took away the legendary controls I guess they were in there I don't know I never got to use them and that's the only thing that keeps me from being able to truly engage you have to work so hard for your instincts to be right it is 15 different combinations of multiple input buttons so you do the math just to put three grinds on the same line the only reason I feel that end up vibing off that complexity is because I am a musician myself it's frustrated as I have been since the beginning it still feels no different than what I was learning the drums you always saw the light at the end of the tunnel but even if I master session I know I'm not going to feel the same way and when you're a dad or when you don't have time or whatever you're legitimate reasons are for having only so much spare time and dedicating every minute of that of every day of every month of every year it becomes a pretty big deal so seriously guys let's make up or assign different reasons to why session is successful because everything that is claiming is the reason why I love skater XL and that is wrong to make gamers feel this way between two games one has nothing to do with the other aside the fact that they're both on skateboards and we all know who has the best controls the best feel the best feeling of reward thanks for reading guys I love all of you

No one wants SXL content. Dead game, dead devs, sure you can mod it to the moon to get a “realistic” feel but why not just play a better game
