All this artificial insemination has led to thousands of couples with triplets they didn’t bargain for and aren’t prepared or equipped to handle. Who pays for it? The oldest child, the triplets, and of course, the parents, too.

It's not that common actually. IVF can cause triplets but it can also result in twins, even high-order multiples too.

AI doesn't increase the chance of multiples. And also no one is prepared or equipped for triplets, and they happen naturally all the same. IVF is the thing that increases chance of multiples.

It's expensive, she's a 9th and 11th grade English teacher, so she would get most of the summer off. My son is 19, I had 6 weeks of leave, you could use your vacation or sick time, otherwise unpaid. Now your job is protected for up to 12 weeks.. also, you can apply for paid family and medical leave..almost everyone in the country has to pay out of their paychecks even if you would never qualify to collect it. .. but I digress, lol.

Infant care under 2 is about $500 per week where I live. After 2, it's not that different $350-450. Depends on the kind of daycare and how long the hours are. After age 2, there's more options for part time care. But yeahhh I'm a sahm, pregnant with my 3rd because the cost of care for our 2 kids was the same as my salary and I was miserable at my job.
