I use this mouse. It is an understatement to say this thing is build well. It is beautifully designed, the swappable palm rest is integrated with perfection and it performs like a beast. Also love that there is no software. 10/10

I bought an Xtrfy M4 Retro based on a few things you said in this video, I hate extra software (when Logitech started pushing Logitech Download Assistant through Windows update I gave them up), when I heard that you could disable the RGB on the mouse directly that peaked my interest, so I looked for it on local retailers here in Sweden, and found one in a local store that I thought was the M42, but it was the M4. I am still very happy with it, though I do think it is slightly too big, so I will get the M42 retro as well... Thank you for bringing this mouse brand to my attention!

I never heard of this brand before but including the optional grip, the sturdiness, and that they have files for people who wants to 3D print options makes me want to support them. Sadly I dont have any need for a mouse until I get to be in Rig Reboot and build myself a PC

I suppose it depends on the user, I've had this glorious model o mouse for over a year, and have had to do nothing but wipe it down like any other mouse, and use my air duster to remove the stray cat hair that got inside. Eating at your desk while using your peripherals will make any of them gross.

whoever corrected linus to DPI from CPI at 3:50, that's actually the correct terminology and mouse sensitivity should be measured in Counts Per Inch, despite many manufacturers talking about DPI.

It does change your feel when you're playing really mechanical heavy FPS like Counter-strike^^ The bump on the back of the base brings you stability if you're clawing the mouse. If you're a palm user however, having a flat back will bring more stability to your swipes.

I personally like the claw style grip. I rest the ball of my palm on the edge of the mousepad, and am able to aim fairly precisely just moving my fingers around. No putting that extra stress on the wrist. Who needs carpal tunnel at 30?

Linus, you forgot a great feature that few open mice include: nanocoating! Xtrify mice are dust and water proofed at the circuit level so sweat and grime aren't an issue, but as a benefit you can WASH the mouse. Been using the non-ambi model for a long time now and it is easily my favorite mouse, and this comes from a picky customer with arthritis.

i just bought this today. i chose this mouse over razer viper ultimate & glorious model o/d and i was not dissapointed! the performance and sensor is really good. perfect for my small hands with a relaxed palm + claw grip style. i played slightly better on cs go than using my viper mini & deathadder v2. despite having 95% similar sizes with my viper mini, the M42 suits my hands/grip even more. chose the retro edition colors & bought the B4 retro bungee and boom! loving my M42!! edit: the only tweaks i had to made is i had to increase the mouse cursor speed in the windows settings from a default 10 to 15. as there is NO buttons or software to change the dpi. the default dpi is really slow/low for me, it felt like its using a 800dpi, while im used to using a 1600 dpi. other than that i've had no problems with this mouse. its great!

I like the retro one, but I'd use the RGB with a single color - red, because most retro mouses with LEDs had red LEDs.

My mouse I use is a cooler master mm710, weighs about 53 grams and has decent software, but lacks much aesthetic, so this mouse looks pretty interesting

Yup, it even says CPI on the bottom on the mouse above the button Linus was pointing out too if you zoom in there, so the editor's "correction" on screen was actually wrong, lol.
