No joke, a guy at work actually clicked one of those. I used to work in IT and he trusted me. So he came up and asked about a link saying "hot girls near you" or some shit, asking if it was real. I said it wasn't, just ignore it. The next day he asked me if I could remove the viruses from his computer and asked me if the FBI was now after him. We're not in the US, so the FBI can't get him. This guy was in his 60s, so fat he was actually round like a ball( we called him 'The big Ballzac", his name was Zac), couldn't bend over to pick something up off the ground, diabetic but still ate everything with sugar, constantly talked about wanting to "reverse" diabetes like a guy on "The Biggest Loser" show, and was the victim of many get-rich-quick MLM schemes. Super happy and smiley Maori guy, super sweet and awesome. But useless at work.

Charlie just unlocked my memory about how in middle school there was a anti-drug abuse class and it was wild they did a short film and everything with a detailed explanation of how to use and find them which most of the kids had little to no knowledge about prior and would you know it the next senior year some of the kids started doing it and in highschool atleast 5-7of the students were expelled due to drug related scenarios and complaints all 5 from the same batch, kinda poetic when you think about it....

In Denmark I believe there’s a government funded programmed that shows people safely using drugs and telling you the safe and lethal doses and then talking about the experience, and it’s actually done way better at preventing addictions and overdoses than any system here has. Ofc they only try the legal drugs there btw.

In Australia, Primary School, we had a cop come in and talk about how drug addicts would smash through windows with their hands and basically end up like mince meat. Definitely worked.

I had a firefighter that would come to school and scare the hell out of all the kids. He would tell horror stories of kids and families who burned alive, or how if you make one mistake with the oven, or knock over a gas can in the garage, you and your entire family would die and your house would explode. And hey, it worked, I was always careful around electrical appliances, gasoline, natural gas, all that stuff. Great guy, 10/10 would listen to him traumatize 10 year olds again.
