All the other light manufactures should aim for this. NOT use the smallest screws known to man and needing 3 hands to hold it all in place when stood on a ladder in the cold

Ksr 333 and the saxby 95542 are very similar. This one though seems to be built with the installer in mind more so over the others on offer

I install almost exclusively robus golfs for bulkheads and this looks like a winner to me. Only manufacturer I’ve found that doesn’t like to use a different screw for every part meaning I don’t need 12 screwdrivers just to take the bloody thing apart.

The fold up design of the LED PCB is a first for sure especially when you are attempting to install it on an external roof space like a porch
@AndrewStrydomBRP

Definitely not a first, I've installed a couple of bulkheads that are like this, albeit with screws instead of a clip.

The merrytek microwave sensor, don't make it too sensitive as it will detect your neighbours movements (don't ask how I know.)
@TheChipmunk2008

Yep, can see through stud walls/doors .... and also sensitive to wet vegetation unlike a PIR... (when the sensor is used outdoors)

@@efixx I didn't change the sensitivity as it works as a sensor light so if you walk up to the door the lights inside the home come on, no floods needed.

Are there any rules / guidance recommending these should be installed facing downwards, not outwards from a wall? Asking because I've seen these used to replace the old rectangular fluorescent bulkheads in stairwells and these are blinding when fitted on a wall compared to what was there.

What is the refresh time? When it has been triggered, then goes off, how soon can it be triggered again? If someone walks under it while it is still on, does the time reset to the beginning of the selected duration?
@efixx
@efixx Ай бұрын
I believe it can be retriggered straight away and will count down from the last movement detected. 🤔

4:42 It's 4000K that's Natural or Neutral White, not 3000K which is Warm White.
@deang5622
@deang5622 Ай бұрын
Actually it is not. Natural white is daylight on a sunny summer's day which is around 6000 Kelvin. Some manufacturers might call that cool white, but that 6000 or 6500 is the standard temperature for daylight balanced photographic film which gives natural accurate colour rendition. It's up to each light manufacturer to name their colour temperature. Fluorescent tubes which are sold as daylight balanced are typically between 5000 and 6500 Kelvin.

pity as well that most wall lights, led's especially, most light shines perpendicular to the wall, straight out....not so much to the ground. So light pollution always worse
