This Old Graveyard Is Home To Cats

Graveyard with collection of lichen-spotted markers, ob. 1760-1926. Set in unkempt grounds on a slightly elevated site with limewashed piers to perimeter having creeper- or ivy-covered capping supporting wrought iron gate.
representing an important component of the ecclesiastical heritage of County Wexford with a collection of markers signed by Dennis Cullen (----) of Monaseed; and James Byrne (----) of Clone exemplifying the Irish Churchyard Sculpture tradition in County Wexford (Longfield 1974, 10): meanwhile, a commemorative plaque records the unmarked burial place of Esmonde Kyan (1750-98), 'Commander of Artillery of the Northern Army of the Wexford Republic June 1798. A New Headstone has now been put in place for esmonde kyan.

In Holly wood forever cemetary in USA they have a whole wall at the back were the cats live in the privets they sleep in there hide , when you walk up to the bushes you can see eyes peering back at you lol , someone feeds them all daily and there is many , I'm sure you could find a video on here . xoxo

It makes me so very Happy to see the Healthy Kitties watching over the graves. I bet they Purrr quite often with all those souls Resting in Piece....❤❤❤❤❤ So Beautiful. The Crows talk to them often as well....

I love that grass😮 I wish l had a yard full of it😊. What an absolutely beautiful cemetery. I love the cats. I rescue them and dogs and they become my kids.😅 Thanx so much for the walk and reading the stones. It's passing by and paying respect. ❤😊

I love seeing the animals being well taken care of. The children’s graves are so sad. My grandmother buried four children under the age of three in Texas, USA in the very early 1900’s.

Awwww bless the sweet Cats for having shelter at least. It is so more difficult for Cats to find a place to stay, I feed strays and look out for them regarding their safety. I have also helped with assistance of the RSPCA to get female Cats spayed because where I live there are Kittens having Kittens 😢.

Love cats don't see many in our cemeterys but I found a sleeping cat last spring curled up in the blue bells at Michaelstow churchyard

Cool graveyard. Interesting to see headstones from the 1700s in that great shape. Loved the cats, I wonder if they are there to keep the spirits at rest. It's nice that someone Is caring for them. Take care.

AWWW omg the donkey ❤️ he really wanted to be your friend and say hi but he had that two rows off barbed wired around his paddock so couldn't get close enough to stroke and really make friends with. Awww i want him. I'm a mad cow and would have snuck through the barbed wired to give him a cuddle and stroke lol ❤❤❤❤❤

Another great travel to an amazing Graveyard-with added bonuses, it's nice to see people caring for homeless animals, and giving them comfort. The stones were beautiful! The weather- not so much but its the same here in N.C. where I live, a lot of rain lately, but you are a trooper, stay well and all the best to you and Sue on your next adventure- Can't wait! Hello there, another great video. I was stunned how many were buried under that table top slab, how deep must that grave be I wonder. I remember being in Wales a few years ago and we could smell the wild garlic, it was very pungent indeed.

Aww, Are you able to contact any cat rescue places up there. The cats could be collected and treated, neutered etc. Then released back or rehomed, Lovely video but poor kitties

A question please. How come bones in some crypts are sometimes scattered on the floor ? Surely when the coffin decays the remains would stay in place. Thanks.

Cool cemetery. There are a lot of intricate carvings in surprisingly good condition. KITTY! Where was I?…Oh, yes. Small nitpick. I know you use what pictures you can find; it’s all good. So, fun fact: the execution picture at 15:33 or so depicts the execution of “The People’s Will,” a small, radical group of Russians whose sole goal was to assassinate Tsar Alexander II. They succeeded, after which they were tried, and…well, you see the result.

I'm not sure about it over there, But here in the States people keep feeding stray cats in the Graveyards and empty lots around homes cause the Cats keep the Mouse and Rat population down.

Are there houses etc around the area? Maybe kitty is owned but just likes going into the graveyard as it's grassy and bushy etc to look for bugs and mice and birds etc. Cats are very notorious to roam a good few miles from their homes they are very independent. Not like dogs
