And this song was written at a time when Japan was still mourning the loss of so many people in a massive earthquake and tsunami. In fact, I was healed by this song. It gave me a positive feeling to remember the many lives lost, but to live with hope.

This song was last performed at Budokan on April 15th 2021 (prior was Hiroshima December 2017 which was Mikio's last BM show). Budokan was their last tour and their last overall. Kami members during this last tour were: Isao guitar, Boh bass, Hideki drums, and Ohmura (with Mikio's Guitar) and Avenger Momoko. The Audio is from Budokan, so the solo was done be Ohmura and Isao but video shows Ohmura and Leda 2016. This is because BM hides the band now and not much footage of them to see.

I remember you guys did the battle of the Ballads, listening to Japanese girl rock bands, doing ballads.... Back then you already said young Su already beat the competition.... Good thing you didn't use this vid to compete, otherwise the other girls would never have a chance. And it's not just the singing, her expression, her gestures,,, makes you feel the music. 🤘🦊🤘

⚡ / ☂ 🌈 Good job finding that BABYMETAL email interview from the Mondo Sonoro site (Barcelona, Spain). That one is pretty obscure. It's kind of crazy that a song like 'No Rain, No Rainbow' that had it's premiere in 2013, has been performed only seven times, including both Budokan 2021 concerts. And still never outside of Japan. It's always a big event when that song is included. Of course we have no official explanation for the long pause at those last two concerts, but the theories you brought up are very likely.

A lot of the lyrics pertain to the Hiroshima bombing... being from Hiroshima, it was very emotional for Su to perform there when she did. Beautiful song

Hey guys, I'm kinda late to the party with this reaction. But just wanted to put in my 2 cents. While I'm pretty sure your interpretation of the meaning of the song works, I THINK (I might be totally wrong however), is that you can never appreciate and enjoy the good without have some of the bad. In other words, if life was ALWAYS just goodness with unicorns and rainbows, you'd never be able to appreciate what you have. So in life, you NEED some turmoil and hardships so you can truly appreciate how good you really have it in life and all the good things you have. So the way I interpret the song, I see it as saying, even though you might be going through a tough time, just hang in there, because at the end of the storm, things will improve again.

No Rain 🌂 No Rainbow 🌈 always hits hard. This was after Mikio Fujioka untimely death and Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) departure from BABYMETAL. "It's been a while since the endless rain of dystopia, like the silence of a broken piano, had silenced us all. But endless rain doesn't exist. Despite the wounds from the constant beating rain of dystopia, the synthesis of the keyboard never gave up hope so that it could play a harmony once again. We pray that a miracle would happen, hoping that light will once again appear to illuminate the vast skies." My take on it is that the pause is to symbolize the silence caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Not being able to perform for a live audience for almost a year.
