What a difference a coverstock makes with the HK22 Evolution Pearl on the original Mindset core! The Mindset and the Perfect Mindset were strong and smoother rolling, and the Intense Mindset should be anything but smooth! Let's see how much skid-flip I can get out of this ball!

With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Launch Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Entry Speed - Speed measured at the pins. (What you'd see on your home center MPH screens)
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based from the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

Just bought this ball yesterday as my first bowling ball. First time bowling anything over 12lb House ball and I hit 180 out of the gate. Definitely looking forward to getting comfortable and turning my game up a few notches!

Looks like you took to this ball like I did to the Statement Pearl. If I was in the market for a new asym pearl this would be the pick. Looks amazing!

Nick, I'm sure you are aware of this but I've noticed you have a 5 board drift in your delivery so, when you stand on 25, you are really delivering the ball from 30 at the foul line. You are consistent with it and it clearly works well for you. BTW - most pros drift like this. Another observation - strong cores that tend to go into a roll quickly but have pearl coverstocks tend to work real well for your game because you are speed dominant. Someone like me, who is speed challenged, would need a weaker ball to get the length I'd need before the ball reads the lane. Still, this ball is quite impressive and the HK-22 additive to the coverstock makes a difference in down lane motion. Thanks for the review.

I have OG Mindset. Only good on long, flat oil. Was looking at The Effect to replace my older Eternity. I think this Intense Mindset might be the better move.

The colors remind me of my old Vandal Destroy. The best ball I ever had and the least expensive ball I ever bought. It was after it was discontinued and it was only 79 bucks. I bought it to try out for the then upcoming balance hole rule of no thumb = no thumb hole. I didn't have to buy a new ball for the house I used it at for six years until it finally cracked over the summer.

This kinda reminds me of the Envy Tour Pearl just a little earlier, I was thinking about maybe trying to get one of those to replace my Effect since I don't see my Effect handle oil as well as other people do, this might be another option if I can't find a good deal on a Envy Tour Pearl

I also like to scuff my shiny balls, took my Effect to 1500, its not so flippy anymore, pretty smooth and early from the left ditch for me. That ball looks nice on the lane even being shiny

What do u think of comparison to the hammer effect? I have the effect and love that ball. Since I have that ball would I need to add that ball to my arsenal? Currently in my arsenal I have the new hammer black widow toxin,Hammer black widow 3.0 and the Effect. Let me know what u think !!!

What is the main difference in feel you can notice between this one and the Perfect mindset? Being a pearl I suppose it could go longer than the hybrid so could be ok also on dry lines?

Not for dry lanes but this is more angular than the Perfect. The cover is still strong so just because it’s pearl doesn’t necessarily mean it’s for dry. 👍🏻

Do you have a video that talks about how you drill your finger holes? Looks like your middle finger goes in only to the first knuckle but your ring finger goes to the second knuckle?

Should be more overall hook and flip than theorem. And I’m not sure if I’d recommend this ball for nationals, I plan to play further out and straighter.
