OneTigris Featherlite UL Top Quilt
What it is : This is a lightweight, highly compressible 3 season quilt that is also very budget friendly. The company focuses on this being used in a hammock but in truth it works just as well on the ground.

Temp Rating : 41F
Materials : 20D Ripstop Nylon outer shell with 380T polyester pongee lining, and SEE polyester filling
I did some searching to learn more about the SEE polyester insulation and couldn’t come across any information.
Available Colors : OD Green outside and black inside
Available Sizes : One
Size Measurements : 6.5’ x 2.8’ wide
Measurements Stored : 13.7” x 7.8”
Weight : 2.4lbs for quilt and bag - bag weighs 3.1oz
Price : $83 on the OT web site, $76 on Amazon
……
Features :
Hook and loop clasp system
Vertical and horizontal baffles
Enclosed foot box
Drawstring at the top
My Testing :
I’ve been testing this product out since the spring and have been able to use this in temps down to 38f.
With warm clothing you can use this down 40f or even lower. With that being said, for lower temps a good sleeping pad with an higher r rating will be needed or if in a hammock, a good underquilt will be required.
Talking about clothing, at 40f, you’ll likely want a long sleeve shirt, some thermals, good socks, and hat. If you run cold, you might even want a jacket.
Review Pros :
Very good quality especially for the money - no issue when it comes to the construction
Perfectly Suited for summer time use.
Very warm with temps down to 50F
Insulation does a good job of lofting
Quilt materials are comfortable against the ski, silky.
Weight is very reasonable for an $85 quilt with synthetic insulation
Quilt is compressible - packs up well.
Looks awesome (subjective)
Versatile as you are able to cover up as much as you like or uncover as needed.
Can be used in a hammock or on the ground
Foot box is warm and comfortable.
Review Cons :
The Nylon Stuff sack that comes with this quilt is close to being complete garbage. While the size is good the compression straps and the related hardware is of the poorest quality. The straps themselves come loose and I have given up on using them. The hardware holds tension but as soon as you take the tension off, the straps will come out of the hardware.
If the back closures are in place, this is going to be tight for larger individuals. Luckily for most people since this is a warmer weather quilt won’t have to worry about even fooling with the closures.
Speaking of the closurers, if they are in place, it can be difficult to get into and out of the quilt.
Summary :
For the money, this is a really good warm weather quilt. Works great in a hammock or on the ground, the overall quality is very good.
Make sure to check the measurements to ensure that it is going to work for you.
Storage bag pretty much sucks….but gets the job done.
In the end, I can easily recommend this quilt, for the money it offers a good value and warmth capability.

Was glad to see you reviewed this quilt. I have found myself taking this quilt on a lot of trips this summer because, as you said, it is a perfect summer quilt. Not too warm, easy temp regulation, comfortable, and (for the price) not too heavy. You can definitely get lighter quilts, but you'd be spending double. One Tigris did a great job with this one!

I have had this quilt for roughly two years and have had year round use with it in Central PA. Along with shorts, long sleeve-t and socks, I use this quilt from roughly May through October. November through April I will combine a Snugpak Jungle Blanket along with it. With both combined, I have camped down into the upper teens and have been toasty warm. I am a hammock camper and use this quilt in conjunction with the OneTigris 41 degree underquilt or their 21 degree underquilt. I have found OneTigris to be excellent products for the money. As you mention, the stuffsacks are pieces of s*&t! I do not even use them bur rather just stuff the quilts into my backpack.

All-tho I appreciate gear like this....and each has its place among the outdoorsman I find a Rectangular sleeping bag has the same effect with better benefits over all.......I can unzip it 3/4 of the way and Boom I got a quilt with a foot box.....unzip the bottom and its vented...Need to wrap it around my pad ,a couple sheet suspenders /clip straps work great... zip it all the way up and I got an enclosed bag....... that being said it can all be done for the same money ....with about the same weight........ this is just my humble opinion , But thanks for all you do Luke....... as always your honest and on point !!

The "SEE Polyester filling" likely refers to "Sustans by DuPont Sorona," a high-performance polyester insulation. It's designed to mimic the warmth, softness, and compressibility of natural down while retaining its insulating properties when wet. This type of filling is often used in outdoor gear such as quilts and sleeping bags due to its lightweight, quick-drying, and insulating qualities.

What I like seeing is you actually knowing what you're talking about, doing your own research and sharing those sources regarding the materials being used. It's important because I don't think people realise just how much money they are spending not on the material but on the greed of the companies that are taking advantage of peoples ignorance and fear of being judged as being cheap or poor. For example, a 2 season sleeping bag can so easily be made into a 4 season if a duvet is shoved inside, sandwiched inside a bivouac bag. A cheap roll mat just needs a layer of that foil like poncho mat to gain extra reflected insulation. A cheap rucksack just needs some extra pieces of paracord and can stitch on extra pockets/bags.

I love all of my OneTigris stuff. Underquilt, Topquilt, Tarp, chair, etc. they check off most of the boxes (price, quality,, durability, availability, etc) all except for weight and bulk boxes which unfortunately are pretty important for backpacking. Can’t beat them for car camping though.

Bought the Paria 700 fill down quilt. Rated to 15F but comments online say down to 30°. It a little narrower than I would like but overall it works. I've used it with an XL Snugpak Jungle Blanket over it in the mid 30's and was very comfortable. But it's definitely more expensive than the OneTigris. By the way took your recommendation and bought the OneTigris high back chair. Love it.

Just picked this up - super happy, ideal for UK late spring to early autumn! Thank you so much! I'm on an EXTREMELY low budget (recently homeless, low income) and was pulling my hair out trying to find a suitable sleeping system that was warm enough, not too heavy/bulky, and within my budget. Generally you can have two of those things but not all three! I therefore decided a quilt was the way to go (I also prefer a looser cover than a mummy bag) but in the UK, there just aren't that many quilts available in my budget. I was about to buy a standard quilt and attempt to modify it but this is so much easier and higher quality than anything I could make! Really, really appreciate your unbiased, agenda-free reviews. You really help me navigate the world of budget camping gear. Picked up the Decathlon Forclaz backpack on your recommendation too and I'm delighted with it! All the best and a huge thank you from a very happy Brit 🥰

@@jasonmcclung3579 We use it more as a throw or camp blanket. You have to be careful if the quilt isn't geared for hammocks (esp. if you are looking for an under quilt). Thanks for this review Luke. This may be a dumb question to some, but here goes. What would you consider the general "comfort" level to be, if this quilt was coupled with a 20 degree rated, down sleeping bag? I've been considering buying a 0 degree rated bag, for a little more comfort, but now I'm wondering how the quilt/bag combination would work. The quilt is definitely better priced than the bag I'm considering. Thanks again. Happy trails! Roger Edit: Don't be shy. If that's a dumb idea lay it on me!🤠

Lots of thru hikers and campers 'layer' their sleep systems esp. in colder environs. There are a group of hikers up in the MN/MI/WI area who do a lot of really cold weather camping and a few of them have talked about this...Not to hi-jack Lukes post, but Midwest Backpacker, Miyagi on the Trail and Rob Pelton I believe have all talked about layering quilts and such when you are out in say -30 weather. I was strongly considering this quilt for a backpacking trip to Isle Royale, but ultimately passed on it. After watching the review, I'm glad I did. This quilt would offer me no weight savings over my current summer bag, a Carinthia Eagle. The compression bag failure would have this quilt taking up half of my pack. The insulation is undocumented anywhere on the internet and is suspect. I think I'm just gonna "buy once, cry once" and save up for a UGQ Bandit. Outside of the OneTigris chair, I don't think there's a OneTigris product on the channel that has a glowing review, so I question the brand. Anyways, thanks for the review.

I feel your pain. I'm 6' 275lbs and finding stuff that I can find in or on is miserable. So apparently you say this fits the height so maybe my gigantic shoulders will fit in here. I've been stuck camping in the summer months due to not finding anything that I can fit in. Any recommendations on pads? Hahaha seems when they say 78" length they mean in mm 🤣

Hi Luke, German guy here. We don't have "oz" or "feet" here, it would be nice if you could write this data in liters and cm too like you did with the temperature and weight :) thanks for your reviews!

If I camp in the northwest where it rains often would it be best to go with synthetic or would down be okay? I was thinking of getting the Disco 30 Endless Promise Down Sleeping Bag but i rather not waste $300 if it could get ruined or not work well. Note: I would be using it to camp in a tent at a campground (not while backpacking or hiking).

How does this compare to the OneWind top quilt or the Swagman Roll?
