A few comments have mentioned the same thing so let me answer all in one; I start at the back in these races to state/show the positions that people start in. UNLESS you are top split (I am so if I'd have set a time I'd have been near the front) you have no idea where you will start in a lobby (I do talk about that in the video). If you are P1 in one race and then P16 in the next on the same practice time you had it's not really fair on you is it? So the race you start in pole you can have a fantastic race. The race you start in P16 you have a rubbish race so wastes your time. You could even IMPROVE your time and still start P16! IF there was a qualy session before the race starts I'd agree, however there isn't so in a large portion of cases (99%+) of sport mode players are starting in a random grid location.

I would honestly have standing start only, and more slots for races like every 10 mins I cannot believe Sony doesn’t have servers strong enough

My ideal daily races formaula would be: Race A: The fun run, casual sprint every 15 minutes. Race B: The staple daily race, every 20 minutes. Mediums or softs only, minimum of 10 minute race duration. Race C: A strategy race twice an hour. Race D: The endurance race.

I believe the quick 1 player test you did for the rolling starts has the start of the race happen just before you, the player crosses the line. If you look at the mini map you should see that the lead cars are practically at t1 when the race begins which is obviously way past the start line

Tidge, what's worse is when you get some kind of holdup, where everyone from p12 at least don't start at the same time and you end up being at least eight seconds behind, Great Stuff.

Here's a revolutionary idea *cough*: On the World Map, give every race TWO options: 1. Race AI, 2. Race Online.

Quick tip: If you find you need do any more testing on rolling start distances and they continue to not fix the bug, that slider is *not* bugged when your units are set to metric, it's only bugged when set to imperial.

Great vid Tidge. Stareting on a turn is a problem that was always existed in GT and I don't think they'll ever fix it! I've always wanted to see my quali time ranked in my own DR level. Like D, C, B, A separated. Seeing my quali time and 10,203 doesn't tell me much about where I would start in my D lobby.

Agreed with your points. This weeks selection of dailies is so poor, I don't see myself trying any of them, unfortunately. Even my usual selection of live KZfaq racers aren't streaming to watch. Boring week...

The fact that bug exists nearly 2 years on shows PD don't give a shit about the game. They've got our money and that's all they care about. They've already moved onto developing their next cash grab which knowing them will be out in 8 years time which makes their lack of interest in 7 even more frustrating

Too many G70s, I won my race in C class with the Alfa155! Lots of folks seem to sleep on that car, but it’s a great car for tracks like Seca and some of the smaller tracks. It also works great at Grand Valley.

Hard tires in short races are rubbish! No real life race driver goes to a track and says, "yeah, let's go less than 1o laps and let's use hard tires" 🤪😤😡🤬

I have loved playing GT7 since it came out but you are soooooo correct. GT7 needs to change in some very key ways like race starts and such - but i think it lacks most when it comes to daily races / activity options. 2 real races /week and a couple TT's /fortnight is just not enough to keep me engaged for more than a race or two a day before i jump onto other race sims to pass time. I just built a top tier PC but i still prefer GT7 for now as its what I'm comfortable with. Another daily race every week would save this game. For me at least.

Instead of adding cars that no one uses PD should be concentrating on fixing the starting grids, plus adding weather and night races to each track, Forza has again been slightly improved with the addition of endurance races which will rotate on a weekly basis with the GT and touring cars along side 1 other formula plus a single model car and a class of car, the game still has a long way to go though, radar, driving standards, penalties amongst other things too.

In some of the lobbies I was in today. During the rolling start some cars didn't move. In one of them races only 4 of us did the whole rolling start, the rest moved very very slowly from where they initially started rolling. They finished around 30 seconds behind.

Completely agree regarding the race length, 7 laps (or 10 mins) would be ideal. I read somewhere that the short race durations for Daily B were to account for PS4 load times between races, but I have no idea whether that is correct or just speculation.

If that was 20 metres, then PD are using far more because the race started and you were crossing the line, on the online race the race started before you got to last turn so they must have it about 35-40 metres

Sport mode desperately needs a huge shake up. I only watch a handful of GT7 content creators and most of them seem to be drastically slowing down on GT7 content. My activity on the game has come to a complete halt too. The most frustrating thing is that all the ingredients are there to make great daily races, but PD just keep serving up bland garbage.

That wheel bug needs sorting, usually catches me exiting the pits🤦😂

Ah Tidge, what about the penalty system?? (I'd score SR out of 100k like DR is, with contact points like iRacing to make it harder to build and maintain)

Tidg... the race starts on the start line and your last. Daily race 1st place will start on the start line. There not the same. They do need to be closer though

Hi, Martin! My 2 cents about start. When you do a race with AI notice that when the race starts the first place is already past the start/finish line. So in lobbies you cannot do this because a race should start when the first place crosses the line. I think that's why they have to move a pack back. Still, it doesn't justify current situation :) Just give us a standing start and a good penalty system!

They just need to balance the cars a little more because once the sheep find out what car the pros used thats it, lobby is flooded with that one car.

Daily race B should be 6/7/8laps You can't achieve much from the back. I never enter daily race B these days

Being a D rated driver, I find that most of the competitors are kind of dirty drivers. I honestly try to race to where I'm considerate and leave space for the other drivers, but it seems while doing so, I just fall further and further back. Kind of frustrating to be honest.

Why complaint about that when it is clearly a challenge to start at the top of the grid. I think that gives pilots the push to get a good time lap. Dont you think?

People generally get better at their jobs but are human and can make mistakes. PD definitely dropped the ball this week and dropped it in front of the goals. Possibly a new “diversity” hire that has no idea lol 😂

Tidge… PD just don’t care anymore. The dailies are stale, repetitive and getting rather boring. Penalties are broken, race starts are broken, BoP is broken. And where are the new tracks… what about all the tracks that we used to have? I could go on, but I’m sure you get the idea.

"needs to change" means PD will make it worse. The rolling starts have always been terrible. Do you see how close rolling starts are IRL? ACC gets it right.

Rolling starts are ridiculous not to mention they form part of almost every single player race. It just turns into a catch up race rather than something with a bit of depth and skill. Shame on PD!

Qualify! Why complain about the game, when you aren't qualified, if you qualify high enough you gain the advantage, it's standard across the auto racing market.

We have a disadvantage anyway because the fastest car always starts on pole
