For Jay Shetty, finding his mentor at the age of eighteen brought him to a monkhood journey that inspired him to change his life trajectory.
If you are searching for wisdom on how to navigate the choices you are facing in life, this episode will deliver. Shetty and his mentor Gauranga Das discuss how to elevate your consciousness to explore the urges you have. You don’t have to live like a monk to think like one. Freedom awaits you!

Principles Of Gita 1) Control the urge to get provoked (We are constantly being provoked in our life) 2) Control the urge to control the situation.(Many things in life are beyond our control) 3) Control the Urge to convince others. Control the urge to convince people to agree with your opinion or narrative. 4) Control the urge to compete. Many people are better than you at different levels. Your aim should be to add value to other life to the best of your ability.

Wow. My uncle sent me this link. We know him as Anand. He is my moms cousin! We have lived through his transition, and we remember when he decided to join Hari Krishna and now is Gauranga Das. We never understood it at the time, but he has done tremendously well and has helped so many people. We are very proud of him. He visited us in Novi Michigan maybe 16 years ago? God bless you! Great interview. We learned something new in this interview

This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it kzfaq.infoUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.

Now 1 year later, I left the temple, I am in a way fighting for my own now, and I regret the mockery made before. I feel realy sheltered by your podcast Jay Prabhu, and inspired to keep going. I stayed as a monk 3 years, and I an also very sensitive but have so much desire to be a better person and connect people to this wisdom, only I'm not in a good situation right now. God! I Loved every word of this enlightening talk! Even though I have always been spiritual and deeply rooted in God love, off late I have been feeling very hurt upset and overwhelmed seeing so many crimes and atrocities. Its heartbreaking to see people hurting others and so many wrong things happening around the world to innocent people that I started questioning why did God make the world such a bad place? How can a good God allow so much bad to happen?😥 It's painful to see so much suffering and darkness in the world but coming across this video I realised I need to keep my eyes on good people and focus on playing my role to do my best selflessly and to keep striving to grow and help others as much as possible.... Don't want to focus on wrong people and bad things...We need to stay focussed on good people and good things cuz there are many kind amazing inspirational people in the world too and so much good to do♥️ Thank you so much for this interview, it has eased my heart and helped me redirect my focus to higher understanding♥️ God bless 🌟

The word ‘religion’ is wildly different in its meaning between the East and the West. In the west, it is ‘prescriptive’ and following a book, its rules and they use many tactics to convert every person on earth to their religion (because their god is the only valid god, you don’t convert-you are going to hell). Eastern religions (actually philosophies) are ‘exploratory’ and deeply open ended and philosophical and do not force their ‘whatever’ on others. Because the basic philosophy is ‘there are several paths to the truth, yours is valid, mine is valid’. Christian missionaries, for example, spend billions every year just in India itself on religious conversion tactics. I saw this and experienced it personally.

That's very true. People say "The truth hurts", but I disagree..Truth is Love, Love is Truth, it should never cause pain. If it does cause pain, it's not Love. Real and True Love kills pain, brings hope, encouragement, and kindness. Since God is Love, it is said "With God, all things are possible." Meaning, with God's Love, the impossible becomes possible, this could not be congruent or synonymous with pain.
