Real burek you can find in city of NIs and best ever barbecue in city of Leskovac... They have long tradition related to that particular food. Actually, Novi Sad is north part of Serbia and it is not famous by those two types of food at all, so your statement that you tried best burek in the place where they heard for burek from bakers from city of NIs 50 years ago , sounds like crime... :D The recipe for the modern round burek was developed in Nis, where it was introduced in 1498 by the famous Turkish baker Mehmed Oglu from Istanbul. Every year, a burek making competition (Buregdžijada) is held in Niš. In 2005, a barrel of one hundred kilograms with a diameter of two meters, was made. Real food is on the South mate and every Serb knows that... Actually, if you want to see real traditional Serbia, just go Central or Eastern Serbia. Cheers.

Najbolji burek u Novom Sadu, po meni je bolji sa sirom, ali moja mera kod njih je 400 g sa sirom i 250 g sa mesom, jogur ne pijem zbog kalorija 😂
