@@ChrisMathers3501 can't. in rogue, you can't stop using the ship in a battle, and the legendary ships are missions where the fight start during the start animation. tried it myself, so I speak from personnal experience.

I once tried to do the same thing but instead of jumping from ship to ship I just swim to the enemy ship. Turns out if you try to climb on a legendary ship it will just open fire with all guns and just kill you.

While fighting it in ship v ship combat, it does (or at least it should). You could get max health on the Jackdaw, where you have more health in one of your three health bars than all the health bars you see in the video. And the El Impoluto's ram will delete that bar.

@dazeyndrowsy Yeah, but that ram is her main weapon, making her movements pretty predictable. The trick is blunting that first attack, then unloading chainshot into her rigging.

This trick was one of my favorites when I played this game as a young kid. It just feels so cool and I remember spending ages trying to find the exact distance to leave the wheel so that the cutscene would still play. Lots of memories with this game.

There used to be a glitch when you could shoot the ship with a pistol whenever its in range at the start of the battle and it would insta-kill it. I believe its patched though.

@@-The_Phantom as long as you're not detected it works. That means Kassandra/Alexios has to swimm a little bit(you can manage if the ship is sailing towards you. Seriously the naval battle pissed me off in that game... :-). Agree the game is very long. I stopped after 100 hours and didn't do lots of things.

@@ThePortadump in my version, touching is impossible as the ship sails incredibly fast and the sailors AI are very smart that when you take your hands away from the wheel, the ship will keep circling until you put hands on deck... My advice is just fully upgrade your ship and watch walkthroughs on how to take down the legendary ships head on

@@ThePortadump El Impoluto is only really a challenge if you have an unupgraded Jackdaw and haven't tried it before, otherwise even with only a few hull and cannon upgrades and some fancy sailing you can take him pretty early on if you know what you are doing.

I did something very similar in Odyssey when you have to take down that fleet with Myrinne. I was not about to go on another grind session to upgrade my ship so I just parked my boat and did this.

I did the same on my first playthrough. The cultist's main ship was giving me trouble, so I reloaded the save, took a skiff, boarded it, and then killed the entire crew and left it empty. Came back with my ship and then sunk the rest of the fleet with no problem.

I did something like this in AC odyssey when I was trying to kill the final cult member on a strong ship I just jump off started swimming to the ship then assassinated him

Brings back memories. I did this back in the day. There was this trick, then some other trick where you turn on some cheats, clear it, then you do something else that I forget, and the trophy unlocks when you log out of the animus.

Remember lads: 260m is the magic number! When a pirate hunter comes straight for you, stop your ship, turn to face them and wait until the closest enemy is at least 260m away, then press down the B button like your life depended on it. If your reflexes were good, you'll be able to let go of the wheel just before the enemy aggro and they'll slide up right next to you. Swim over, kill the crew then fire a few chain shots and board the empty ship. Easy Man-O-War bounty hunter loot early game. Just remember to do this on friendly waters otherwise they'll fire swivel cannons at you while in the water.

Ohhhhh... I used to game Man-o-wars by getting in front of them and trying to hitch a ride as they got too close. Kill the crew and then a single shot will take them down. I tried with a legendary ship, but parking a long way off and swimming to them just earns you a full fusillade of heavy cannon fire which I feel is a little disproportionate to the threat of one man swimming toward you. Props on doing this to El Impoluto, though. She's a fucking monster.

I did that by accident, i was fighting against 3 Ships that were close to each other. I was boarding 1 of the Ships, but jumped on the wrong one, after killing everyone i realized what was going on.

Infinite money glitch: take on twin ships, kill one fully, pick up crate, then let second kill you, its like 10000 each run, takes abt a min with full jackdaw

I did it most of the time, the hardest one is when you try to reach the moving ship (Lucky if they coming closer with your ship). But it's funny when the ship are just stopped when you getting in. And the other things also I like is to luring the enemy into my ship and let them fight with my crew. But I only did this in port and I don't know how to do this while on the outside of the port

Once had a bug happen where when they threw ropes to the ship they didn't reel in. Ship stayed in place while the Jackdaw kept going, but the enemy ship acted as an immobile peg in the water. So I killed the required number of people on the ship, did the extra things, while I could see the Jackdaw going in a perfect circle around me. Thankfully the rope was untouchable, it just slid through everyone and everything.

yea... the fact that the soldiers have a different AI when in ship combat vs going in solo means there are COMPLETELY different mechanics at play whether you're engaged in ship combat or not.

Fun fact: you can turn on no damage for you and your ship and when you defeat the ship, leave your animus and your stuff will save and your thing will automatically turn off
