You answered a question of mine here in south Michigan. Early season I catch trout in a couple of rivers near me, but never later in the year. They are connected to designated trout streams, these rivers are deeper than those they move into them in winter!! GREAT TIPS AND WHAT A GREAT DAY YOU HAD👍

Hopefully I can get something filmed up there this year! That would be a long video. There is a lot to break down. Trout and salmon spawns are pretty diverse and complex. 😆

Thanks for sharing all of this information! I've tried that set-up in the driftless area and have yet to catch a trout. My go to is a 1/6 rooster tail spinner in brown trout, or 1/4 for deeper holes.

Wow. Interesting. I can typically outfish a spinner 5 to 1 with this bait. At least in low, clear water.

You've convinced me to try them again. Some of the streams I fish don't have super deep corners for this to work. Could be that I'm not using them correctly. Headed out next Tuesday & will put a couple in my box. Thanks!

Thanks! I typically drift flies with a split shot but I’ve used floats at times too.

Those NRV Pink Nymphs are working great as well. The Utah Killer Bug is still very effective with a water filled bobber.

Great video as always. I am wondering why the micro swivel instead of tying the flouro leader directly to the braid?

Because I was lazy that day. Lol. Typically I would tie a 6’ leader braid to flouro but if I’m alternating between small spinners and jigs it’s easier to just tie an in-line swivel so I don’t have to worry about line twist when Im throwing the spinner.

Best colors down there would probably be hi vis chartreuse and hot pink. As far as the rod, I’m not sure what video you are referring to but I typically leave links in the descriptions of my videos so check there. I am also working on a panfish rod breakdown video here shortly too.

You trolls don’t actually watch the videos you comment on, thus you have no idea that I actually took great pains to show my lure VERY close in this video, and not only that, gave the name, sizes, colors and a direct link to buy each one. Couldn’t be any more clear. Nice try.
