Thank you for featuring Stanly here!😍 He was very happy and i'm soooooo proud of him. Once again, on behalf of Stanly, thank you Michael!! (i am stanly's gf, his youtube account is on trouble so he couldn't do any comment)

I'm proud to call him my guitar teacher. He is super talented, jazz background, yet he rewrite his guitar style by working really hard to master slide technique. He literally brainwashed himself with listening to sacred steel gospel player for a couple of years. Respect Stanly, best wishes for years ahead.

Stanly is an amazing player, I've known him for years. His sense of melody is only matched by his INCREDIBLE intonation and slide speed. Glad you feature him here, he's an awesome and very humble guy.

The song he's playing over is The Main Squeeze - Hold My Hand

Only a few years in, very challenging but having a blast with these strings…“Perhaps I b7’d too much” might be the most eye opening info I ever rec’d. So many different ways to understand what the hell yall pro players are doing when even the simplest lick seems impossible to do in time, at least for me at this point. I hope I can catch u on a live stream one day and explain. Love ur work man… 👏 🙌…keep grinding sir!

i remembered i saw this guy in a cafe around jakarta. i was blown by his skill & ability to channel 80’s soul singer like derek trucks did. finally stanly got the spotlight that he always deserved, congrats stan!

This is just.... words can not describe sorcery like this. This is life. This probably is why we are at the top of the food chain. This is just rambling from me. Just incredibly fantastically amazing and so on. In complete awe.

He's using the nice Roy Rogers-approved slide-on-the-pinky technique. Always a good sign.

Dude is amazing... definitely heard Derek play every one of those licks though... IMO Dylan Adams frets behind the notes sharper... I'll still never touch that level
@dhunterwest25 күн бұрын
Dylan is incredible - big ABB & Derek influences but definitely mixes in Joey Landreth's style behind the slide.

Stanly is great. Look for ‘Gugun’ or ‘Gugun Blues Shelter’, and Nathania Jualim, to see other parts of the spectrum of Indonesian guitar music…

I love it but he hits his frets a lot when playing. He should do what Gary Rossington did and stick a screwdriver top behind his strings above his nut, and tune it accordingly.

Nope....not getting it.... He is good....but 1,000% derivative........the foot volume pedal is a cheat......and this is simply one step closer to an AI slide solo. Nope. All hat, little cattle.
