A critical ship review of the LC-208 Shepherd by TRAV. on Space Engineers, the Shepherd is a small ship with novel design elements with a decent survival and planetary usability although some of its design choices might impede its practicality

Hey, just realized I did a miscalculation on the ship's weight carrying capacity in the video c= it should be able to lift ~3.2kt and not 2.2kt, whoops, which makes the ship's thrust:weight ratio in 1g gravity almost 3:1 which is crazy

The thrust of this ship is 2.97 kt for a planet with 1g, with its own empty mass of 1.2 kt. This is enough to move through the air or launch into orbit two large containers filled with 80% ore each. So everything is fine here. Not normal, this is 1 basic refinery, 1 railgun and 1 parachute located at the bottom of the ship.This ship cannot produce or fight and is unlikely to be useful in survival. More than 17 to the PCU also does not contribute to this. However, I do not think that the author pursued any practical goals.

Ok, Luca is pretty funny. "Can you imagine just sitting here, and this hydrogen tank just exploded" 🤣 Out of the ships Luca has looked at this is one of the better ones IMO. I would probably uparmor it (I don't like exposed components) but other than that most of the design choices make sense and the ship has a pretty cool look overall.

Must be really comfortable sleeping in the left most bed with the knowledge that between the warm oxygenated habitat and the cold harsh unforgiving dept of Space is a singular corrugated steel panel xD. That said the ship is beautifully designed

luca please bring some of those insane builds that appear in keen showcase videos, to your overview videos (even those moving animals and incredible mechs, etc)

Mod idea: Replace the engineer with characters from the Skyrim character maker. Then, make the showers actually work, and give them a practical use in-game, like your health slowly drains if you stay dirty too long. Edit: Also, a mod that allows you to make credits by sitting at a desk long enough. Imagine, your office finally has a purpose!

That would be cool xD I think Keen would do the survival update this year but we'll see x3 hopefully they'll add more survival or survival related stuff u wu and O: good xD make it like an office terminal or something x3 or freelance office terminal xD

if it swapped out o2 tanks for o2 gens it can add 4-5 more. also you can probably drop 1000pcu in gyros, programmable blocks.

Ye x3 and doors mostly u wu since the programmable blocks might be needed for the scripts if people use it on servers with scripts x3
