that's not a tweeter on the woofer that's just a cone that helps break up distortion at higher frequencies

You are correct. It's actually called a Phase Plug

When I test speakers I put them back in the original box after hooking them up for a better demo, versus free airing them where you'll just get a lot of cancelation. Those are good midrange speakers though. You'll love them. You should still get some tweeters though, they can only play so high.

Hey mouse trap I love the channel. Can I ask a question please. Can I connect 4 prv 10mr2000 at 8 ohms each to a taramps ds4000x4 amp? The amp is 2ohms. Thank you over here I can’t find no one that knows.

You could run those but you’ll never get any lower than 4 ohms bridging the 4 channels into 2 on that amp.

The Sylvesters are atleast twice as loud on the same power if that's what your wondering.

Not bad mids. I have 4 of the DS18 Pro 6x9’s. Louder is far from better though. I have Kicker 6x9 mid bass components from 1994 that sound waaaay better.
