I do find it quite annoying when people bash Honda's and then seem to solely base their opinions off of 90s d15, d16, & b16 hondas. Like there is 20-25 years worth of newer hondas lmao. This car for example would not be what it is without that k24.

@JakeFaulkner
@JakeFaulkner 3 жыл бұрын
@@FrancisD If you fill the bucket with water, then siphon water into the hose, as long as you hold the end of the hose higher than the level of water in the bucket, the water will only rise as high as the water level in the bucket*. You can then move the end of the hose into the four spots you want to measure the height of, and work out how far off level it is (for example, if front left has the water level at 4 inches above the concrete, but front right has it at only 3 inches, you know the front left concrete is an inch lower than the front right). hope that helps :) * when you're siphoning out of a container you want to empty, you want the end of the hose lower than the container for this reason

Instructions : 1.get at least 1/4"-3/8" transparent hose, clean water in a bucket. 2. Stretch out the hose to straighten up and avoid innacurate level reading. 3. Fill up the hose with water and level both ends, if not levelled, gotta remove the bubbles inside the hose. 4. Compare again both ends Hope it helped.

Man that's so cool can't wait to see how this car develops over the season Need to continue that black out vinyl on the lower section of the bumper too, and add a "tow" point sticker too, to complete the race car "look" (and my thought process is that the bumper will move around a tiny bit, so maybe abit bigger on the cutout of the tow hook? Didn't see how you finish off the cut out, but if its got square edges in fiberglass, usually that will be a weak spot for it to crack from, so make sure those edges are rounded off

Awesome as usual. I think some more black vinyl would look great on the lower air dam as well (the parts that aren't cut out). I probably wouldn't spend the $ on a real ceramic coating for a race car, but there are some decent spray on ones that will give you like 6 months of durability that would make clean up of rubber etc easier. You can get around the car pretty quick with those. I hear Griot's is pretty good and you can get it at your sponsor.

Quick tip - if the damage is light to your clear coat, you can take some really fine steel wool and remove some of the black scuffing. Keep in mind, this removes a little clear coat with it, but that area of clear coat is likely already damaged. That's a trick I learned after e-brake sliding a car into a street sign at 16!

Great build man, I hope you inspire more grass roots guys to come out to Time Attack. Hope you make it back up to Canada for some CSCS racing when the borders open up. Side note: Never use a gun on the coil over shaft top nut. Most modern coil overs (the K's included) have a hex socket in the top. You use an allen wrench in that hex socket and then an open end on the nut. Ideally you torque the nut down to the manufactures recommend torque with a claw foot open end or a pass through torque wrench. Here is why, when you use a gun on that top nut, it spins the struts shaft and the associated valve stack inside the coil over. This can damage valve stack.

I'm driving a Volvo V70 that would only need new rear suspension and more power and it would be ready to go racing. Engine is stock and I only have sport springs in the rear to make it slightly stiffer but not lower. In the front I have J-Spec coils from J-Spec Sweden. They're basically a smaller, Swedish version of Advance Auto. On their coilovers you can adjust the ride hight and stiffness. Only problem is that I would need ballast on the passenger side to be able to get optimal cornering in left corners. I usually notice it in roundabouts, when I get really good traction into the roundabout, lose traction as I turn left, then can get right back onto the throttle out of the roundabout.

If you could have the air-filter closer to colder source of air ,it"s always a better thing to consider....to push it ,installing a heat sensor in the engine bay (hottest presumed spot) and close to the air cone(with electronic gages on dash)you'll see the enormous difference...also a powerful heat extractor fan (on demand) right under an air-scoop or louver is super efficient.

Hi, love your videos. Would it be nice to upgrade your front disc rotor to 330mm by changing a adapter bracket to shift your Porsche outwards to fit the big rotors. Since you have potential 17inch rims to accommodate bigger Rotors. It might improve your late braking and cut down in your track timing.

Love this build, but not sure about the nutsert for the tow hook. Note sure if they are strong enough for this!

Love the progress! I must say though - do NOT trust riv-nuts for that tow hook. That makes me nervous
